Oekaki/Java problems & solutions

Hello! I have a problem.

Whenever I attempt to draw in oekaki, I notice a lot of the time my pen will leave random dots when attempting to do, well, anything. Here is an example of what I mean.
Has anyone experienced this issue before? I'm trying to puzzle out if it's a hardware issue or something else entirely.

I also have this problem!!!!! It only happens sometimes, but the dots and lag are soooo annoying. My tablet is really old and has been struggling a bit lately (I'm also not entirely sure I have the right software installed), but seeing as you have this issue too maybe it's oekaki...

It's really, REALLY discouraging to try and work with the program with this issue, especially when I try to line things :') My tablet is going on 11 years now and i've made sure it wasn't a driver issue or a browser thing, but if it isn't an issue with the way it communicates with oekaki, i'm not sure what to do ;w; It certainly works just fine in photoshop/clip studio!

Edit: found the issue! I had recently updated to Windows 11 and Windows 11 decided to randomly turn on a weird windows pen setting I never wanted! Ugh lol

Hi!! Could you tell what this setting is? I've been having the stuttering on oekaki as well and it's driving me nuts. I don't think the settings on my computer have changed but I would still like to look into this mystery pen setting :3

I have just changed computers but have set it up exactly as my old one, got the right drivers for my tablet but now I can't get pen pressure.

I have tried Chrome and Firefox and don't have pressure in either.

And you made sure pen pressure was turned on IN oekaki also? I think its usually on by default but I've seen it bug from time to time where it won't be on.

If not maybe try turning it off and back on anyway? Again this is IN oekaki, as in the tool settings.

What do you mean by upload? If you mean paste art into oekaki, no. There is no way to import art into the oekaki. Everything has to be drawn fresh

I recently upgraded my tablet to a Huion Inspiroy and now I have lost pen pressure. I tried each different version of chicken/chibi paint, and it won't work no matter what. I have Java and the jtablet thing installed too, but Im a little lost on how to figure it out. Thanks in advance for any help!

Make sure you install your tablets specific drivers! If you go to huions website they should have somewhere with drivers. Just find your make and model and go from there. Feel free to pm me or dm me on discord @cheetahs if you still have trouble!

Still having this issue. Ive tried restarting the computer. All that stuff. Does anyone know any other tricks?
