If staff want to keep the UR pets at a set rarity, they have to release so many of each one each year. With more and more UR pets being added (we are at like 40 now), there are more pets to compete against to keep their rarity at the same. Statistically, the more UR pet designs there are, the better chance you have to get one.

as everyone else in the thread said, no, it's not easier to get any specific UR pet... except the current year one, since at their release the new UR pets can come from any of the three boxes, while old ones can only come from the rarest one. i'm also pretty sure that every year they push up the year to count as an old rare, and older pets are still turning rare, meaning that while the UR pool gets bigger every year, so does the other pools of pets. if that makes sense
