Private message problem?

Somebody sent a me a Private message, about, well, that's not important. It's just really essential that I reply. When I tried to, I got this message:

Some users couldn’t be added as they have disabled private message receipt.

I understand that I can't send a PM to them, but is there any was I could contact them? I can't even tell them that I can't PM them!
