Cant paste into oekaki?

I am attempting to upload a drawing i did, but I did it with paint and gimp, because that is what i'm used to and I don't like chibipaint very much. However I have been unable to upload anything, because when I go to edit-paste when i have my drawing on the clipboard nothing happens. What am I doing wrong? I am sure there is a way to do it, I'm just a newb XD

You cannot paste something onto the Oekaki, sorry! Everything must be drawn there. This is to prevent art theft, tracing, etc. However, you're free to share your artwork in the art boards if you'd like c:
