As a .. uh.. veteran ( pft ) in this field - I agree with a lot of things that you have stated~ and some great tips ^^

I agree with KayleeBanana - it's something I have encountered through out the numerous adoptables that I owned. But with a help of some good friends; it was fairly easy to take care of. ( which comes into a whole different topic about choosing your staff members etc. )

You could probably state making a chatroom for the thread ( like in Cyber Bunnies ) so that customers and staff can still interact with each other but not spamming up the thread.
It'll be also an easy way to hold events / sneak peaks and things of that sorts that would liven up the thread c:

I would like to create my own adoption center but I'm very confused. I don't know how people get their drawings from Oekaki onto their posts and I don't understand how they can get them to grow up over time. I would really appreciate some help.

To get the pictures, right click the image and hit "copy image location". Then paste it between two image tags, like so:

To grow them over time, you have to edit the oekaki picture and put in the new image. If you do not give your customers the link to the original Oekaki, you will have to send them the new code. If you're doing a "stroke the egg this many times" type thing, though, they'll figure it out eventually. :3

Another thing to keep in mind when creating an adoptable species, size has a huge impact!

If you're planning on making adoptables as a side thing to do in your free time for fun, I recommend going for a small size, 200 x 200 or less (I always go for around 150 x 150 personally). These will take less time for you to design, and they are also easier to organize. You'll produce a large quantity of them very easily.

If you're planning on making these adoptables a major and long term part of your CS life, that's when I'd say go for an adoptable larger than 200 x 200. These will take a lot longer to design. You'll also likely get more attached to them because of the extra effort put in and be less willing to adopt them out (which is why most large adoptables are adopted out through written forms instead of first come, first serve.) Large adopts like this require a huge amount of effort to keep active. There are many users that start large adoptables but barely get past 2-3 adopts before letting it become inactive. So I don't recommend it for any first-time adoptable makers, or anyone that's not sure if they have the time for it. There's no point in spending that much effort in creating that large of an adopt if you're not going to have the time to support it. (:

And one more thing, don't slack off with designs. It might seem better to mass produce as many adoptables as you can to please your followers, but trust me, high quality adopts will help you gain ground much faster.
