Why would you like this character/What will you do for this character?:
Well, I just recently came back on this site(I quit for a year or two), and I've decided to leave my old characters, since they were just a bunch of mess and were useless. And now I've been looking for a few characters, especially equine, and when I was scrolling down through this thread I just fell in love with these two! I've been watching out on them ever since they came to the agency, but just never, ever seemed to have time to fill out a form. They are so beautiful, and unique, even if they look quite simple. Whenever I try making realistic designs, it always comes out horrible, but when I adopt/etc original designs, and make art of them, they just look simply perfect. I'd even trade all of my VR's for just one plain simple piece of art of one of them.
Personality:
Solana - loving, sweet, caring. Whatever gentle word you pick, it may only describe her, no other! Not to mention, she can be a very shy filly, not interacting with both the horse and the human; always down in the corner of her stall, only ever moving for a snack and a sip of water. She won't even set a single eye on anything that was living, therefore that was one of many reasons to why she was such a darling, harming not even the air. Though ever since her mother's life was taken away, she'd never let anyone glance at her or touch her or anything running along those lines. Many who visited the shelter just shook their heads at the filly, as she was tall but weak, saying she wouldn't survive long, making it a pain for those who loved her. Also not forgetting, she was bullied a heap and often got caught in life-threatening situations back at 'home' when she was just a newborn, with nothing but just her mother by her side. All she ever wished for was a normal, peaceful, and a un-harmful life; but now hopefully she'll regain her trust and live her life the way she wants it to go.

Acuario? His personality comes and goes, sometimes not even lasting for a single minute. But he's usually best described as - (1) A competitive beast, always wasting time whether it's down in the paddock, at the barn yard or in the training pen. (2) Challenging madness. Never will do what's he told to do, when he's told, and where; if he does follow the command though, don't keep your hopes up. Eventually he'll mess up on purpose, and watch with amusement as his trainers' faces grow bright red with anger and annoyment. (3) Lady's man, obviously. How? His colouration, as if you didn't know. Mares would gaze at and study him all day, but what would he do? Nothing, just roll his eyes and get back to business. He also isn't keen on the idea of being a stud, he's only ever gave the shelter one foal; though sadly, it passed away due to a certain common disease. Ah, and definitively not forgetting his monstrous, fearful and un-escape-able behavior. Hard to tame, and he's already nearly the age of thirteen, surviving at the shelter for seven years.

History:

Cramped in an old, rusty, and wooden box, the young new-born filly was doomed. Left yet on a haunted, abandoned and wrecked beach, she was doubted to be found, whines and snorts making her more weak, more thirsty, more hungry. She was not to be heard, not to be seen, not to be touched. Not even by the cool, breezy, and wavy sea. Multi-coloured eyes shimmered, half-open, sun fighting her through the free spaces of the crate, all at various places, most possibly the worst ones.

Ears rose up, eyes weakly opened, as a few hours have been thrown away, and a clear sound, well, more like a shout, came from the remains of the air. "'ere!" Was what the filly heard, hoping it wasn't danger; but after all, she wouldn't have to suffer. And besides, she had nothing left anyways. Only soft, swift heart-beats. Within a matter of seconds though, hammers were to be seen slightly, thrashing the crate and nearly damaging the crossbred, but luckily she still had just about enough to crouch down into the corner.

"We got a filly 'ere," another voice cracked, as the crate suddenly fell to pieces, each side giving a big flap. The young one squinted her eyes, as the sun was right in front of her, breaking her down, making her collapse. The small and thin body of hers lay there, beautiful coat gone filthy and un-explainable. "We better get 'er down quick!" Was the last word said. No more. She had grown into being un-conscious.

Finally getting herself back to the harsh huge world, she breathed heavily, noticing she was being carried by at least four to five humans, in the warm, relaxing fresh air, and then into the horrible sick smell - the local animal hospital. Being placed into a tiny, new and shining stall, with everything for life needs, doctors and nurses and operators gathered, checking her up everywhere. A few stayed, a few went, but some even came back, with goods. "She'll be fine...just needa get 'er self back."

Laying down comfortably in the corner of a more fresh and newer stall, in a whole new place, in a whole new area, the filly looked around over and at all, thinking upon something, not quite sure what. "G'day Solana," snapped one of the grooms, walking past with a click and smile, but the foal's face was just widened with horror. But as soon as the human was gone, Solana lifted herself up to her legs, properly, for the first time in weeks. Now all she needed to do was walk. Talking a step forward, a little small star brightened up her eyes, but still, she was in the same horror, and most were afraid she always will be.

Reaching with her small soft muzzle for the goods, she swiftly touched the tip of the carrot and nibbled away, calmly, making sure no one was around. The filly continued with her goodies - apples, sugarcubes, even oranges, carrots, oats, etc. "Stop it, will you!" A shout ran across the barn hall. Solana jumped in fright and hid under her long and giant slot, trembling. "You beast, Rio, you are a true beast. I am done with you," and a slam came right next to her stall. She walked over slowly, sniffling, and peered over her bar window, watching a bright and sporty patched stallion trot with happy snorts, seeming to laugh. He soon got bored and took notice of his new neighbour, picking up an apple from his own slot and tossing it back at her, friendly. The filly surely didn't seem too sure about this.

Backing up again, butt bumping slot, the filly shriek-snorted and got wild into her special corner, crawling up together again, but Acuario just seemed to gaze and smile at her, apple now in her box, laying actually quite close to her. Solana got back up again, and took small nibbles of the sweet juicy apple, and then tossing her head back at him, giving her first ever whine since day one. She couldn't trust humans but hey, she got Acuario now, hasn't she?

Rears and bucks fought the rocky and sandy ground, dust all over his polished coat, trainer whipping him as she tried to catch him down. "Enough!" The human furiously shouted, giving one big smack on his chest, getting him on land, but being shoved down herself this time. "No, just no!" She shouted back again, getting onto her feet as Rio happily danced over the ring fence and trotted off with his tail swishing into his box, locking it himself. He was smart like that.

As he enjoyed his five minute free-dom, a new trainer came storming down, but with no head collar. "Hey boy. Be good for me, aye? You *always* are." Was what she whispered, grabbing a bunch of his mane and leading him out. He already had plans, and horsey-sniggered as they got out of the barn, towards a different ring. An indoor one. But Rio was looking the other way, and reared up, bolting off towards a paddock, spotting his newest and most recent friend Solana finally down in a paddock for once. "I give up! It is no use training this horse, I guarantee it! Money waster, he is! MONEY WASTER I repeat!"

He flickered his tail wisely over at Solana, giving her a greet, but it looks like she was having a nap, so he galloped towards a different pasture, a longer one, which had one of his many racing partners in; a bay stallion. Squinting his eyes at him, he bolted off faster than a tornado, the bay following on. Usually Rio won - but now he didn't, bumping into one of the head grooms. "Were do ya' think yer goin'? Yer not gon' get 'way like that! I's got yer!" The stallion blinked his eyes. He rarely saw her around, and she spoke like a pirate, making Rio splash down with laughter, rolling down on the land like wild.

"Mommy, I wish we could adopt all these horses," a little human said, who was stroking Acuario gently and with pride. "Well, darlin', yer can't, this is a rescue barn, thus meaning yer can only help us." The head groom snapped at him, clicking her fingers, and then watching him burst into a small flood of tears, soon walking away. Rio tossed his head, and snorted, kicking the stall, bored now that he couldn't amuse anymore, as the owners gave up training him. After all, he should be free here at the barn, he was rescued.
Art:
1 ; I hope this is okay for art. I couldn't find any better horse line-arts that would fit his breed/look/personality/behaviour/etc so I just chose this one, and I enjoyed doing this. I hope it's fine I did a random design on the other side, since horses usually don't have the same markings on both sides - the person who gets this horse can change it though, I just made this if I get him.

1 ; I hope this is also okay for aRt, xD. As said up there (^^), I couldn't find a line-art for a foal that would fit her, but this line-art fits everything. I'm not excactly impressed with this, but still, I like it. :3 - OK, I admit, I was very lazy on this one, because I'm trying too hard to at least get Acuario. DX
Other:
Yey! Hope I at least get one of them { especially Acuario ;P }. I know I'm not very good with my English, sorry, I'm not, but I do live in England. And sorry if Rio's history is more like a story, I got carried away with it >.> Let's pretend his history is unknown, Okay? XD

Also, you just need to highlight and right-click to see the word 'Maipe' above this sentence. { It's the weird Batman/Fat cat shaped thing covering my text XD }
