Personality:
Dashiel appears meek and mild-mannered at first sight. He is not one of those who can rejoice in physical strength. His strength is mental. You can crush his body, but not his spirit. He can inspire the strong of body by his strength of mind. Perhaps, one day, he will be able to lead those he has inspired. Dashiel is also curious, especially about other Carthians, he is considered a bit of a busybody. He likes to help, though, so any prying is done for a good cause.

If you're not particularly observant, you might not notice the latent power to command in his eyes, his movements, his decisions. This usually gives the observer a prickly feeling, or a shuddery one. In his eyes there is courage and kindness, the sort of thing great leaders are made of. This is not the cause of suspicion or hunches. The fact that the courage is fueled by stubborness and the kindness fueled by curiousity is.

Right now, he is only a meek busybody, unsure of the ways of the world. But Dashiel wants to learn. And the lessons he absorbs will help to shape his young nature further. They may be lessons of light, they may be lessons of darkness. The world is a big place, after all. But eventually, one set of lessons is bound to outweigh the other. And when that happens... his power, his mental strength, will no longer be latent.

In a world made of shades of grey, Dashiel has the potential to become either pure black or pure white. Right now, however, the two colors fight within him, making him a purely neutral grey, half and half. The wise would prefer he stay this way. But Dashiel is curious about the world, and its ways. Will he learn the ways of love and tenderness, or the ways of cruelty and hate? Or, more importantly, how can one stop him from learning?
