Name [of pet]: Neptune.
Gender [of pet]: Male.
Breed/Species [of pet]: Dog.
Personality [of pet]: WIP
Background/History [of pet]: Neptune was brought into this world by a beautiful stray mutt, that always used her special charm to lure food from the locals. She would sit outside their house, whine softly until they came out, and then she would simply lie down and wag her tail. Immediately the people would sigh, disappear, and return with some juicy steak, or some tender chicken. But, in those days that Neptune was born, his mother's charm had faded as she had become older and older. Her snowy white coat was now a yellow-brown as she licked her remaining three pups clean; the runt had already died. On her passings, the dog, who was known as 'Charmer', had seen many news reports that there was a leakage in some nuclear powerplant that could effect the town horribly. Charmer had always been careful after the warnings, but - nothing so far.
Anyway, the three remaining pups all looked like their father; brown, thin, small, all with permanently bobbed tails. Two were male, one female. Charmer didn't name them, nor did she get attached to them. She had been a stray long enough to know pups don't survive in places like this. But, one of the males - he was different. Even in the most horrible days he seemed to find the brightness in it - so, in the end, Charmer named him Sol; meaning Sun. Sol mamaged to grow healthier than his siblings, who sadly died. But, it was expected.
Sol grew and grew, healthier than most dogs. A man had noticed this, and one day, he 'dognapped' him. He grabbed Sol by the scruff, and chucked him in a cold, dark cage. He barked and barked, calling for his mother who didn't wake up that morning due to her exhaustion. Finally, the man had had enough of the racket, and he put Sol at rest.
When he woke up, he was in a strange, empty room, with only him in it. There were cages and cages running down the long hall, all in which were empty. Suddenly, he caught sight of men in masks and other protective gear that made them look like astronauts. One of them pushed a button, and suddenly the room filled with a grey-green fume. Sol cried for help, but soon his lungs filled with the smoke that was being forced into him. Oddly enough, the mutt remained alive and well. Suddenly, he felt his coat prickle. It felt like a thousand anys creeping along his brown fur as the fumes disappeared. The men all looked at each other, and talked amongst themselves while Sol whined and paced in his tiny prison.
The very next day, Sol was grabbed yet again by the odd humans, and they put a heavy collar around his neck. When they pushed a few buttons on a strange remote, Sol moved foward. The men chuckled, playing with the remote to make Sol walk, and run, and jump. That night, Sol was kitted with a mask and some goggles, and he was taken to the nuclear powerplant. Sol was forced to move by the push of a button, and, before Sol knew it he was inside the powerplant, looking for the cause of the leakage. The gasses did not harm him as he padded around. His pelt prickled again, more than last time. Suddenly, his coat went a tinge of green. The more he stayed in there, the greener it got. Finally, the men let the dog back out again, and they were stunned at the results.
Sol, later renamed Neptune, was all over the news, a big story about a dog that wasn't harmed by nuclear gasses. But, soon after, many people wanted his blood to test it, and even more wanted to take pictures or to stroke him. Soon, the men got fed up with it all and they let him free, in a small forest on a large mountain, where he lives his life killing his food with his breath and poisoned fangs.
