About the Species
Bale Wolves are exceptionally large beasts comparable to theorized Dire Wolves. They are 7 ft in length and 4.5 ft in height, weighing an average of 200 lb. These fantastical creatures exist on a large island that is veiled by magic, hidden from the mundane to protect a series of portals within the island's mountains as well as the creatures that live there and have been warped by the portals' influence.
The species itself carries similar social hierarchy to what is observed in other wolves, typically favoring strong and healthy males.
Although, there's something a bit unsettling about them- is that a third eye? What other strange qualities could they have...?

About the Adopt
Pick your pack leader and enter into the hidden life of the Bale Wolves-
there are friends, items, and new places to discover!
The purpose of this adopt is to found your pack and build your ranks, experience life on the veiled island and learn about your new friends! There will be activities such as bonding with your pack, hunting and patrolling, exploring, and even trading or gacha games and other such things!
Careful though, the veiled island may be shielded from the outside world but it has many dangers of its own. From natural disasters, diseases and poisons, other packs, and competing predators there are many ways your pack will face fatality. A well managed and tightly knit group will be sure to push through the hardest of times, but if you're not well prepared it can come at a steep sacrifice!
This will be an adventure game with some strategic elements- there are chances that characters could die or become permanently injured. Managing your ranks is an important part of leadership!
From a technical side of things, you would be able to participate in one activity each week that would develop the lore of your pack. Every time you post an activity form, you'll receive a response for the activity as well as an update on how things are going in your pack.
There will be different difficulties and risks associated with each activity, some will have little or no risk of injury or death while others may always have some risk.
FAQ
Are pack members NPCs?
Not necessarily! You can roleplay and control your pack members, write personalities, and write blurbs for activities and more.
If you choose not to do anything with them however, when used in activities the writer responding to you will still write on behalf of your characters to help further develop them! In this way what you choose to contribute determines which characters interact with you as NPCs and which ones you control!
Deceased characters become NPCs upon death- you're still able to display them wherever you like, but they leave your pack for their new pack in the afterlife.
