What are Slime Wyrms? Slime Wyrms: Limus stickicus are an open species created by me. They are reptilian and serpentine feral animals.
Basic Anatomy Body is shaped like a snake. They have oval or circular heads with backwards facing teeth. (Shark like) Their bodies have a slimy and sticky texture and pointy spikes down their back. A large horn sits on their head above their nostrils. Their tail thins out towards the end. Their tongue is forked like a snake. They have arms with 2-4 claws, and large oval eyes with small pupils.
Belly scales vary by individual! The are not considered traits.Ears aren’t either. They can have internal or external ears. Belly scale texture can be smooth or rough
Abilities/powers Breathable skin (like frogs/toads) can trap moisture and absorb substances. Large eyes can see during day and night. Spit a thick mucous form glands in cheeks. The mucous is very sticky and thick. It is slightly acidic. Speedy and agile (faster in water or mud)
Diet: rodents, fish, insects, small snakes, and amphibians
Predators Birds of prey, foxes, venomous snakes, badgers,coyotes, and cranes
Habitats: swamps, Everglades,ponds, forest,
Lore: Slime Wyrms are named for their slimy and serpentine appearance. They actually aren’t Wyrm dragons but are related to them. They were discovered by a group of campers in the 1960s.
Range: Slime Wyrms live wherever there is water nearby. They thrive in mushy and swampy areas.
Society/Behavior: Slime Wyrms live in small groups called a scuffle. Each scuffle consists of 5-6 adults and offspring. Female Slime Wyrms lay oval eggs that have the texture of play-doh. The female can lay up to 12 eggs at a time. The eggs are laid in shallow water surrounded by mud. Male slime wyrms are very territorial and will spit at intruders. Baby Slime Wyrms are called Wyrmlings or slimelings.
Age They age/mature like humans.
Accessories/Clothing : Slime Wyrms can be dressed up in apparel. As long as it lets their arms breath. Their tolerance for being dressed up is varied among individual wyrms
Extra info: Slime Wyrms can hiss, growl, and chirp. They cannot blink. They are around 5ft long and weight 20-30lbs. Male Slime Wyrms are larger and weigh more than females. They eggs like reptiles.
Side note about crossing breeding: Flashbangs and Slime Wyrms are related enough to cross breed (see breeding info wip)
