Finchpaw yawned, stretching out and opening her eyes- still heavy with sleep. She looked around and leaped out of her fur when she saw a crumbling angel statue next to her instead of her clanmates. She looked around frantically, trying to find any sign of her clan. The only scent she could pick up was the heavy smell of rain, but when looking up to inspect the skies, she could only see a deep, dark blue sky glittering with stars and a huge, bright, full moon. The stars are different here...

Finchpaw wandered aimlessly for what felt like hours, and she was sure the sun should have risen by now. ``I have to be dreaming...``, she muttered to herself. ``I can assure you this is no dream``, replied a mysterious voice. Finchpaw stepped back, pricking her ears in the direction of the voice. A thick coated tom stepped out from behind a tree, smiling. She couldn't scent him because of the thick haze, but now faint smells of herbs and sweet flowers filled her nose.

``I'm sorry, I didn't mean to scare you- you are?``, the tom asked, taking a step towards the apprentice. Finchpaw took another step back. ``I'm Finchpaw``, she finally replies after a long moment of silence. The tom nods. ``I see. I am Moonstar, and this is my territory. Welcome``, he says, dipping his head. Finchpaw furrows her eyebrows. ``My clan doesn't boarder any place like this, where am I?``

Moonstar's kind gaze drops to a faint frown. ``I'm still working that out if I'm being completely honest with you``, he looks to the ground, then to the Towering Ridge. ``This forest is surrounded by these outcroppings, I've walked the perimeter of them for ages and yet I still can't find a way to leave this forest``, he sighs, looking to the sky. Finchpaw takes a wary step forward. Moonstar turns his attention back to the young molly.

``How about we stick together for the time being? These woods can be dangerous, It's easy to get lost... I can take you back to my camp if you'd like?`` Finchpaw weighs her options for a few moments before nodding and putting on a smile. ``Lead the way``, she says softly. The two walk in silence, allowing for Finchpaw's mind to wander. Can I even trust this cat? He seems just as lost as me... Will my clan accept me once I come back? Joining another clan like this? Worry shrouds Finchpaw's mind as she follows the mysterious tom back to his camp. I didn't really have a choice, I'm sure they'll understand.
