Introduction

Magideer are a deer species living in secluded forests in northern Europe.
They are shy and value privacy, but can be tempted into human contact,
if approached cautiously. Once their trust is won, they are loyal and will
follow their new friend everywhere.
Several centuries ago, some human buried radioactive waste in a cave
unter the forest, causing strange mutations to appear.
Deer with ram horns, extra limbs, or even wings are not impossible here.

Maybe you can convince one to come home with you?

Rules

-1. All the usual rules apply.
-2. No theft, no tracing, no claiming to own what you don't. You may not create
your own deer at this point.
You will be reported, any deer you might own will be taken from you and you
will never be allowed to own one again.
--2b. Do not edit your deer. You can purchase items that change your pet's
appearance.
-3. Treat everyone in this or any partnered threads with kindness and respect.
-4. You can use your deer on other pages or roleplay with them. You must credit me
when doing so, though.
-5. You can gift all your deer. Please let me know, though, so I can change the
ownership in the archive.
-5b. You can sell custom deer and those you bought at auctions. You cannot sell
deer you received for free. Let me know when you sold a deer, too, so I can adjust
the ownership.
6. If you don't want your deer anymore and also don't want to gift or trade it yourself,
you can give it back to me. Free deer will be given away for free in the Litter section,
custom, auctioned, or bred deer will be auctioned.


Staff

There is no staff at this moment. I will post staff forms here when this thread
becomes too large and busy for me to manage on my own.

Mutations

Mutations can be inherited from both parents.
The chances for that to happen are as follows:
Common: 25%
Uncommon: 15%
Rare: 5%
Legendary: 2%

Mutations can also occur randomly from any breeding.
The chances for that to happen are as follows:
Common: 15%
Uncommon: 8%
Rare:: 3%
Legendary: 1%


For those of you interested in the exact machanics:
One Magideer can have multiple mutations occupying certain slots:
tail, wings, horns, body, head, mane.
First, natural mutations will be rolled. I will roll one time for any rarity.
If you're super lucky, you can get up to all four rarities on one deerling.
If you're unlucky, it can also happen that you get none at all.
When one rarity hits, it will be determined at random which mutation
exactly will be applied.
Second, inherited mutations will be rolled. I will roll once for each
mutation the parents have.
A Magideer can have one mutation per slot, so a maximum of six mutations.
Should a deerling by chance inherit two different mutations for the same
slot, the rarer one will be applied. If both are equally rare, I'll toss a coin.

Here, especially pretty or mutated Magideer will be sold.
Regular litters will almost always have standard traits so this is a great chance to spice up your collection.

Common Mutator - 10C$
Pick any common mutation to be applied to your Magideer.

Uncommon Mutator - 20 C$
Pick any uncommon mutation to be applied to your Magideer.

Rare Mutator - 30 C$
Pick any rare mutation to be applied to your Magideer.

Legenday Mutator - 50 C$
Pick any legendary mutation to be applied to your Magideer.

Red Clover - 25 C$
Guaranteers one to three deerlings.

Red Raspberry - 40 C$
Guaranteers two to four deerlings.

Aristolochia - 75 C$
Doubles both your deerlings' mutation chances.

Thyme - 20C$
Removes your Magideer's mutation.

Mysterious Scroll - 100 C$
Summon a Magideer of your own design.
Provide a colour palette, a reference, or rough instructions
and pick up to three common to rare mutations.

Pocket Watch - 80 C$
Turn your Magideer into a deerling permanently.
It will not be able to breed and reversing this costs 20 C$.

I go by Eagle's Eye's list for uncommons. Commons from 2015 and
younger and uncommons from 2017 and younger are not accepted
as payment.

Breeding

As Magideer reproduce asexually, any two deer can breed.
You can breed two of your own deer one one of yours with one
someone else owns. Such a breeding will never produce only one
deerling.
If three deerlings are born, the one who paid for the breeding
will be allowed to keep two of them, while the other one receives
the leftover one, unless both agree on a different solution.
Both parties need to explicitly state their agreement to the
breeding before it can take place.
Magideer do not grow, they'll arrive fully grown a week or two
after the breeding request has taken place.
If possible, please talk about breeding alliances per PM as to not
clutter this thread.
