call me sensitive, but i feel like, unless you are native american, using totem poles in this manner(and mixing it with korean/japanese "kawaii" culture, along with accessorizing them in a very western way) is cultural appropriation of a culture that is already attacked/appropriated to begin with. i know you mean no harm with these butttt... you know. it happens.

i understand your concern but i spoke to multiple natives about this before i went ahead with the idea, and they all ok'd it. i understand not all native people will feel that way, which is okay. id like to point out that chickensmoothie itself has literal totem pole items and pieces.

regardless, id also like to touch on "kawaii" culture because im quite offended at that. none of this is meant to be "kawaii." im asian myself, korean to be specific, and i think its unfair of you to generalize the art i make.

suit yourself. if you got the o.k. thats cool but youre still working with sensitive material and i ask out of good intentions.
also, kawaii culture is what it's called in japan. thats the name. if your art isnt meant to fit into kawaii culture thats fine but it still fits into the characteristics of kawaii culture, and kawaii culture isnt a bad thing, its just a set of characteristics of art originating in japan/inspired by the kawaii japanese style. its just an observation, but my apologies if that was a generalization, or if its korean, or none of the above.
regardless, the totem poles are not of my taste personally, but if you haven't encountered any issues from native americans/you've talked to a few of them beforehand then my original comment has been addressed. my b for assuming.
