chocolate?: Chocolate is poisonous to various animals because of a toxic compound in cocoa beans known as theobromine. While humans (and surprisingly rats!) can process theobromine fast enough that all one feels is the slight buzz chocolate is known for, dogs process it at about a third of the speed, allowing the toxin to build up to a level that causes serious problems. Now squitsunes are a combination of kitsunes and squids and while there has been no research on how squids process theobromine, foxes are fairly comparable to dogs. Thus one would probably imagine that chocolate is varying degrees of lethal to squitsunes. Amazingly this is not the case! Because the majority of a squitsune's body is made of magic they can digest just about anything. It's even been theorized that they exude would-be poisons through their cloud, but that's never been proven. What has been proven is that squitsunes can eat even larger quantities of chocolate, grapes, and onions than humans can. So don't worry about letting your squitsune friend lick the spoon you were mixing chocolate cake batter with, they could just as easily eat raw pufferfish.

My little theory for this guy is that he is a very caring and spiritual little critter on his own journey to find himself. He often remarks himself with varying markings to show and remind himself about what he's been through. Like a kind of journal, in a way. It reflects himself. He's constantly adding more.
