NEXs are not from earth. The Nex species was brought from their homes and brought to earth for testing. many of these Aliens became sentient and learned human ways. As they grew smarter they broke out of their cages and fled into nature. They needed nothing but sunlight and water to thrive and now with lush grasses of the earth the animals spread like a wildfire.
NEXs can come in all colors, sizes, and types.

ART TIPS
- eyes are always closed
dull teeth
they can be feral or anthro
they can wear everything
females should have lashes but that is always optional
you cannot add wings or a fish tail onto a terrestrial NEX
you cannot take off wings or add a fish tail to a aerodynamic NEX
you cannot take away the fish tail and webbed feet or add wings to an aquatic NEX
NEXs do not have legs but have paws that move the body above ( phantom legs of a sort)
NEXs can run, swim, walk, jump, dance, ect. even though their paws are not directly attached so you may draw them in any pose :3
