The rapture never came. Instead, Lucifer opened the gates of hell and released demons upon Earth. Lesser demons, their form similar to a cross between a reptile and a canine, and their humanoid demon brethren terrorized the world. Their might varied, though they often possessed magical powers or elemental control limited only by their imagination and will.

Demons and humans were able to interbreed, for humans are not far from demons themselves. Part-demons became more and more numerous, possessing power of varying degree, until pure humans were all but wiped out. The newly created hybrids varied greatly, from the traditional depiction of horned and tailed horrors to those who almost pass for human.

Bored and wishing for the company of his subjects Lucifer recalled his demons to hell after fifty years. Only the strongest, great demons, were able to resist and remain on their playground Earth, but the damage was done. Earth was overrun with part-demons and the offspring of the lesser demons who had not been born in hell. Society had collapsed and reformed, the new variety in the population and lack of government or religious influence removing many prejudices or inhibitions that had previously plagued the Earth. Technology had progressed, but there was no space age future for the people of Earth.

In large swathes of what was once the United States of America a great demon named Dantalion presides, several hundred years after the demons returned to hell.

Lacuna stands 5' 6" tall and weighs around 130 pounds. Her body type is athletic and her skin tans very easily. She wears punk/grungy clothes and likes black accented with bright colors. Overall she doesn't care too much about her appearance, and her clothes are usually damaged in some way and secondhand. She usually wears some kind of practical shoe/boot. She also likes to wear gloves/wrist protection because Nasah often bites when he gets excited.

Personality:
She is analytical but angry. She tries to control her anger but usually ends up blowing up on someone who didn't really deserve it. Often she feels like she doesn't fit in, because others have more power, skill, or knowledge than she does. Above all she wants to be useful. She puts on a tough attitude most of the time, and can reinforce it by fighting her way out of problematic situations. It is hard for her to trust others, and she often holds herself apart even from her friends, keeping her personal struggles to herself.

History:
Lacuna does not know much about her history, having suffered a head injury that caused amnesia when she was about 20. All she knows is she woke up to Nasah licking her face and he guided her to the people he was bonded with. They helped her regain her health, if not her memory. She has lived with them since, contributing to the group with her small amount of magic. She began a relationship with one of the members of the group, Tali, about a year ago. Though they often have rough patches and misunderstandings (usually Lacuna's fault) they care for each other greatly.

Standing short and meek at 5'3" tall and weighing in at 56kg, we can safely introduce, Luna.
She has pale blue skin, dark grey sclera, piercing salmon eyes and long pointed ears, where she sports some very fashionable tunnels. Her nose is dainty and supports a septum piercing. She has fairly long silvery hair, which she keeps tied back out of her face most of the time, as well as black nails (which are also constantly painted black). Her horn comes out of her forehead and has a lovely purple-blue gradient. Her tail is long and is more used for balance (it doesn't have the muscle to pick things up) and has a purple tinge to it, as well as her lower legs and feet. She can usually be found wearing a choker with some kind of pin-up style dress that fits her curvy body just right. Of course she has huge, round, reading glasses!

She's a sweater-loving bookworm that is a little too clumsy for most people's liking...
She has a big heart and is pretty naive, so gets hurt more often than not.
But she tries to see the best in everyone!
She's a total petrichor and lives for aesthetic-type objects and trinkets that she hoards.
She is quite passive and prefers to talk things over before getting physical. She is a total hopeless
romantic in every way, having read enough to put most scholars to shame. Even though she seems
to be demure, be sure not to undermine her, because she can also be extremely stubborn.
She is quite mousy and hates the spotlight, but enjoys the company of people she can relate
to on multiple levels. She does not take insults to heart and is not offended easily, but has
a fork tongue and can be pretty harsh if you push her buttons enough.
She can be described as an open book, always ready for whatever challenges life could possibly
throw at her. She is fiercely independent and 'don't need no man'. She is a collection of words
(sometimes not so very nice ones), sparking laughter and disaster at the same time. A true
wild-card. She loves to think that she is as independent as she claims, but even she has her
weaknesses and flaws, despite trying desperately to escape them. She often gets worked up
and forgets that it is okay to need a hug every now and then. She is extremely loyal and loves
the simple things, even though it seems to be like drama just follows her every move -
despite having tried oh so hard to move away from it.

Born to a demon mother and a part-human father, Luna grew up in the city. It was a
pretty normal upbringing (if you can get past the fact that only one of her parents
is actually a demon). She always longed for an adventure of her own,
but plans to complete her botany studies to travel the world.

Sylvii stands at about 5'9, she's fit, but not chunky. Her nails are dark and long, almost animalistic. She has peircing green eyes and doe ears. Sylvii also has multiple teetch and claw marks that scar up her forearms and chest/stomach. She always wears a long sleeved shirt to hide them.

Sylvii is the life of the party. She's always got a crowd and is that one girl who can get into any club or party.
She's very blunt and honest and doesn't take crud from anybody. Silviianal can be too sarcastic and her sense of humor
is impeccable. Though not always- she does find herself quite the flirt. She's a true extrovert at heart who isn't afraid to speak their mind. We shouldn't go as far to call her reckless but she does have a wild streak. She doesn't like to be bossed but is very humble and gentle herself.

Sylvii was born to a demon father and part-demon mother. Her mother didn't survive the birth so Syl never knew her, but the photos on the walls show a beautiful young woman with fiery red hair and hazel eyes. Her skin is fair and smooth and her smile dazzles. She was homeschooled because of her looks, and kept hidden away until she was old enough to understand that whenever she went out her ears and tail were not to be shown to the humans. Right now she lives in her father's old ranch house by the lake, content on living by herself for the time being. She enjoys the wildlife and adventure the forest surrounding her holds.

Tali is about 5'4" with a full figure and a creamy complexion, though she is able to tan rather than just burn. Her long hair is brown and wavy and she has blunt cut bangs that frame lively green eyes and compliment an infectious smile. She shows off her personal girly style with everything from floral sundresses to slinky silver clubwear. Her demonic heritage is on display through dangerous looking black spikes on the outside of each of her forearms.

Tali has a lust for life and is an outgoing, flirtatious girl who would go to bat for any of her friends in an instant. She has a devious side and will not hesitate to trick people she doesn't like to get what she wants. Most people never see this side of her, but I wouldn't recommend crossing her. She is vain; she knows that she is pretty and that many people are interested in her, and she enjoys teasing them (playfully or less so) with a severity depending on how they approach her.

History:
Tali experienced a pretty normal upbringing. Her parents, a triad of loving people including two men and a woman, provided all the love and guidance a young girl could ask for. Their two other children were already grown when Tali made a surprise appearance in their lives, so she is not very close with her siblings. From a young age Tali was interested in fashion and art, but in her teenage years this translated into a unique fascination with firearms and weapons. Her family was against her joining any type of militia, but she still learned everything she could about weapons and bombs, eventually starting her own business servicing and building weapons for all kinds of clients. While her family might not approve, they are at least happy she's not actively endangering herself. She had a strong desire for independence but still fell in with a group of friends and lives with them while they all start their adult lives. It was a lesser demon they had bonded with that brought Lacuna into her life and had a stronger connection with the amnesiac than any of their group. Tali doesn't mind because now Lacuna is hers.

Frosty's a muscular kid that stands at 6 foot 2. His hair is bleached and styled into a mohawk, and he has a tribal tattoo on his upper arm in the shape of a band. He's lanky, but still toned and very fit. He's flexible and used to compete in gymnastics.

Frosty is typically quiet and keeps to himself out in public. Get to know him, however, and he turns into a humorous wild child. He's very sensible and level-headed. Quite the gentleman despite his looks. He's the type of part-demon you'd want to be friends with but at the same time wouldn't know how to approach him because he gives away nothing. No one knows what he likes and not likes, favorite style of music, color etc. He likes being alone, yet wants friends to hang out with.

Frosty lives by himself in an apartment with a scraggly hairless cat he snuck in a few years ago. He ventures out only at night; finding the day a good time to doodle and catch up on some shows. He never knew his parents, only his adoptive mother Cinthya. She's a part demon like he is, but her natural hair is black as midnight in a coffin and he eyes so blue it's freaky.
He only has a small recollection of what he thinks his parents look like. A tan man, with warm brown eyes and dark brown hair.
Frosty has had no desire to find his real parents- he adores his current mother and doesn't want to break her heart.

Arno is a second child; his sister is barely a year older than him and they were pretty close growing up, more so than he was with his "cousins," the children of his biological parents' collective. His family was that collective of white-collar professionals in couples and triads who raised their various children as a team because they often needed to work late and having others around was incredibly helpful. They all lived on the same floor of a well-appointed apartment building and the situation worked out well. However, when Arno was nearing adulthood he dropped the bombshell that he wanted to work a blue-collar job, specifically as a mechanic. His family was also dealing with his sister moving to another country, and the news was not received well, with his family worried he was throwing away his future. He persisted, however, gaining an apprenticeship, attending classes for more specialized education, and even inventing some upgrades of his own for vehicles. He is more distant from his family now but is successful. He owns his own business and makes a more than comfortable living. Until recently he had no one to share that with, until he met Sygny. He was worried that he wouldn't find someone who would commit to his archaic belief in traditional monogamy, but he and his boyfriend are making it work.

Rose is a fair-skinned, thin, male, standing at 5'7" and still growing, he weighs roughly 105lbs, though most of it is lean muscles, made for agility. He also has naturally blonde hair styled in a side-cut with the dyed blue/purple/silver strands weaved in a long braid. He dyed his hair to replicate a galaxy, and is rather obsessed with space and the constellations. He tends to wear tank-tops, jeans, and knee-high boots with a considerable amount of heel, liking to hear himself walk. Rostreth is rather intelligent, though his mild obsession with astrology and the working of space and the stars tends to steer him from anything academic and deemed "worthwhile" by his peers. He is rather serious for most of the time of a conversation, but if you mention anything involving the "great, vast, unknown regions of space", he perks up and you can practically see the constellations shining in the deep purple voids of his eyes as he chatters away, his voice sometimes rising in pitch as he talks without pausing for breath. He is fond of flight over fighting and will shy away from anything coming close to him in a threatening manner, submitting or running rather than facing the threat.

He has tanned skin, gray eyes, and brunet hair with a green streak dyed into his bangs. People could easily mistake him for a pure human, as he has no real "demonic" traits. Sygny is pretty fashion forward and his usual style follows current trends and tends toward impractical.

History:
Sygny is the only child of a pure human woman who claimed real psychic with clairvoyant power, though not everyone believed her. His father is a part-demon who had made himself a reputation through shady business deals and is likely involved in organized crime. He met Sygny's mother after a colleague purchased her services for a psychic reading and, pleased with the results, recommended her to his friends. It is unclear why they formed a temporary relationship, as part-demons generally do not fraternize with pure humans, but he has never denied that Sygny is his child. Sygny takes after his mother almost exclusively; he does not even look related to his father. The most substantial proof of his mother's supposed psychic skills is that Sygny possesses strong magical power despite his low content of demon blood. His specific skills involve protection, both physical and mental. He began attending a prestigious school for those with power at a young age and lived a happy life with his mother, his father rarely in the picture as they were not romantically involved. His mother dated a few human women and tried to stay away from relationships with part-demons after Sygny was born.

When Sygny was thirteen his mother was murdered and the perpetrators were never found, though he has his suspicions. He had no choice but to live with his father, who only saw his power as a potential gain for himself and often hurled verbal abuse at Sygny. At sixteen Sygny started dating the son of a wealthy friend of his father's, much to the man's approval. Though the relationship started well Sygny was soon trapped in an unhappy cycle of jealousy and Kareem pushed almost all of his friends away until he was alone and without support. It took several years, but Sygny finally had enough and left Kareem, much to his father's disapproval. He continued to live with his father as he finished school despite being nineteen because his father continued to bankroll his studies. With a few months left in his program he met Arno and the mechanics housemates. They formed a relationship and Sygny moved in with his boyfriend and new friends once he graduated. He works with Arno now selling protection magic along with vehicle repairs and is hoping to branch out his offerings soon.

Tenacity stands at 5"0' and is 96 lbs. She has ruddy tan skin, maroon-red hair, and golden eyes. She has a pair of horns that resemble small and slender antlers and a three-and-a-half foot long "traditional" demon tail. She is still growing and is expected to stand at 5"6' tall with four foot long tail. She usually wears her hair in a ponytail, braid, or bun, depending on what she finds most convenient. She wears second-hand clothes that she doesn't mind getting dirty, which usually means a shirt, trousers, and sandals.
