•Drayda can imitate any tune they hear.
•Drayda live in any valley or forest, depending on size. Generally the forest-dwellers are larger.
•Appearance•
•The Drayda tongue is long and forked. When not in use, it is rolled up into the mouth like a butterflies. Drayda use their tongue like a snakes. They flick it out to sense their surroundings, as Drayda often have their eyes closed and have poor eyesight anyways. A lick on the nose or forehead is also interpreted as a sign of affection.
•Drayda have very bad eyesight. Their eyes are pitch black like a horses, but they are often shut and the Drayda rarely uses them to see.
•The mouth is long and wide, often curled up in a smile. The Drayda's teeth are like a cat's, small but sharp, and also like a shark's as they have two rows of teeth. They can be removed with little to no pain and often fall out to make way for new teeth in both rows.
•The Drayda has long legs with jointed fingers. They can grip things with their front paws like humans. The claws cannot be retracted. Claws and jointed fingers give them an advantage in battle.
•Drayda have long manes that go down to the shoulder blade. Most manes go down past the neck but some are mid-length and stop about the shoulder.
•Drayda have long necks that are quite flexible and can turn at a 190 degree angle.
•The tail is like a horses but much thicker and poofier.
•Drayda have long ears that are used for hearing long-distance and soft sounds. Despite common belief, the ears are not extremely flexible and can only bend about two inches behind the head and cannot be layed back flat.
•Behavior•
•Drayda are very social creatures. They travel in groups ranging from 5-15 Drayda, with the females being dominant. The leader of the group, called a "dryle," is normally a female a little bigger than the average Drayda. The dryle always is more colorful than the other Drayda. She is born with a patch of unnatural fur on her neck, normally in the shape of a heart.
•A group of Drayda is called a "drayon."
•Drayda are rarely aggressive but they fight when necessary. Females often fight over males and when threatened.
•Drayda hunt in pairs of two.
•Drayda generally mate at the age of 1.3 human years.
•Drayda often climb trees and hang off of them by their hands.
•Drayda are generally friendly and trusting creatures.
•Drayda are playful and love to chase any moving object. They often play-fight and nip each other to show affection.
•Signs of affection include licks on the nose, love-nips, head-butts, and nuzzles. They are very sweet creatures.
•Drayda usually only mate with one other creature. They are very devoted.
