Asteraki, or Asterakis for plural, are small dragon fox hybrids. Their name is formally pronounced AZ-TER-AKY. Asteraki visually take more after their foxy ancestors than their dragon. Some have developed mutations and passed them down through their generations.

A few important things to note about these little creatures is that despite their sizes they are fiercely competitive and they often hold tiny events that contain prizes for the winner. The second is that they come in a variety of colors, ranging from black to neon pink. Some even come in familiar patterns, such as toucans or much-beloved dog breeds. Finally, Asterakis are adventurous little creatures, often leaving for days on end to explore and travel. And often bring back small keepsakes or odds 'n ends they find.

➳ Please do not force someone to give you their Asteraki, Breed their Asteraki with yours, or make your custom.
This will cause you to banned on the spot.

Artist rules:
-Be at least semi-active. At least a few litters a month, please.
-Tell me if you will be absent for an extended period of time.
-Artists are allowed 1 free staff custom.
-PM me with the designs you want to put up for adoption. Do not post them yourselves.
- All raffles winners will be chosen with random.org as so no bias goes into who's the winner.

Mod rules:
-Regardless of how people treat you on the thread, remain calm and courteous.
-If anything serious happens on the thread, don't respond to it. Instead, just report it and let the cs mods take care of it.
Replying to it will only make things worse.
-Help people when they need it, give reminders and answer questions when you can.
-Mods are allowed 1 staff custom. You can make it yourself or ask an artist.

Very simple! 3 warnings get you a strike, 3 strikes your banned. Bans can last from 1 day to indefinitely. During a ban, all your Asteraki are taken away Auctioned, raffled, or put into the pound. You may not post on the thread, adopt, or do anything else here. If you were wrongly banned or wrongly receiving of a strikePlease, Please, Please pm me and we can work it out.

Customs are where you can find asteraki modified to your custom tastes!
To purchase an custom asteraki you need feathers. Some just to cover the
costom itself and more to cover the cost of traits etc. Once you do that
one of our artist will take care of it!

Breeding
breeding is currently open

Asteraki are odd creatures. They do not breed as a 'normal' animal, but rather have their own tradition, through years of evolution and refining of the system of producing an offspring. Since there is no need for mother or father component of this it can be done with any gender the asteraki chooses to mate with. The parents both extrude a firey liquidy magma-like substance from their mouth. From there the two dump freezing cold water upon the molten mass using any means necessary. They repeat this process for the next few days. If done properly a hard egg-like shell will form around the stone. From there the Asteraki will then transfer the egg to a 'nest' composed of special fabrics and grasses, where they sit and incubate the egg until it hatches. Though beautiful, the shell is extremely delicate, like fine china. This is an extremely time consuming and exhausting process, forcing the asteraki to take breaks before they can breed once more.

Keep these notes in mind:
➳ Genders do not matter when it comes to parents
➳ Obviously, all owners of the parents must agree to breed
➳ There is a breeding cool-down of one week for each asteraki
➳ the owners each get to keep one child of the litter, the rest will be put up for adoption.
➳ There are usually 3-5 offspring in a litter.
➳ The owners have one week to respond to claim their offspring. If they do not respond they will be moved to the holding nest.
Where they have another week. If there is still no reply the children will automatically be put up for adoption.

Occasionaly there will be events or contests that will occur. You can win
prizes and asteraki. So keep your eyes peeled!

Exploring
Exploring is Open

Asteraki are adventurous creatures. Often going out
to wander the world and gather small keepsakes
and wild asteraki they may come across.

Keep these notes in mind

➳It cost 10 feathers to send your asteraki out for one day. For every ten added on they are sent out for another day.
➳The longer they are out the higher chance they have of getting rarer asteraki and rarer items.
➳There is a very small chance one might find a mutated asteraki. It is most likely the only one of its kind and cannot breed.
➳Any items found while exploring will be put into the store. But some items can only be found through exploring.
