Ive reached my breaking point
I was the quiet one, pushed away from the group and into the back. I wasn't what you would call cool, or the fox you would hang out with. I got used to it. Every time I felt rejected, or pushed around, the coil inside me got tighter. Everyone has a breaking point, mine just was alittle bigger then others.
I was walking my way up to the fields, where the young foxes usually hung out a played. I don't know why I went, maybe since Angel was going to be there. Every since I met the young female, ive fallen head over heals for her. I'd call it love at first sight I guess, but I felt like we were perfect for eachother. As I reached the fields, I could see her in sight. I smiled, quickening my pace so I would get to her fast. But, as I came a couple of feet from her, the big brute of a fox, Rush, stepped infront of me. I looked up at him, my ears slowly coming back to rest against my head, my tail slowly coming between my legs. Of course I was abit intimidated by the fox, he was older and very much larger then me. Rush seemed to just smirk slightly when he notice me slink back away from him, then calling me a coward, a useless piece of nothing, and other cruel things. He also took a liking to Angel, but who wouldn't? Her coat was healthy, sleek, and clean, shinning in the sunlight. Beautiful brown eyes that you could get lost in them if you stare to long.
I don't know for how long I stood there, taking in his harsh words, staring at the ground as I let a few tears escape. What could I do? I was so much smaller, and nothing I said ever helped. A voice catched my attention, but not in a good way. Angel was helping Rush too, taking his side. I looked at her face, my eyes full of pain and suffering, but she didn't care. My heart shattered. I thought I atleast had someone that cared, someone that loved me, but it was just me hoping.
My Angel became a demon to me.
I stared at her for a few minutes more, until something inside me seemed to...break. I don't know how to explain it, but I felt something deep inside me pulling, breaking, falling apart. My eyes narrowed. Whatever inside me that held me together, broke. My lips curled back, showing my teeth as I let a low, lethal snarl erupt from my chest. As if surprised, the taunting stopped, and they stared at me. That didn't last long. Rush started laughing again, as if amused. Thats all it took to push me foward.
I lunged, jaws open, aiming for his jugular. He seemed momentarily suprised, but it was too late for him. My jaws closed around his throat, shaking my head to make more damage, flinging him around like a rag doll. He whimpered in pain, struggling to get loose but I held on. I twisted me head in a split second to the left. Snap! I let go then, letting Rush fall to the ground in a limp pile. All the color seemed to drain from Angel's face, staring at the limp form Rush before her eyes shifted up to me. I was a mess, my jaw, neck, and face covered with Rush's blood. Angel slinked back from me, which made my eyes snap to her. When I made eye contact, she bolted. What a dumb move. The predator inside me roared for the chase, and I took off after he like a bullet. I had to admit, she was a good runner, but she was only running on fear. Few yards behind, now a couple, right on her heals, then I lunged. She plumeted to the ground as I landed on her back, pinning her to the ground. She struggled, strained, and yelped with all her might, trying anything to get free. I watched, the look on my face crossed with being amused, and cold hearted. I lowered my jaws to her neck, snapping them shut. Her neck broke, causing a strangled yelp to come out of her before falling limp aswell.
I blinked, looking at what I done. My expression was blank, looking down at the limp form of the fox that I loved. With the flick of my tail, I turned and walked off, looking for the nearest stream to get alittle cleaned up. As I made my way, a raven came and landed a few feet infront of me, causing me to hault. Dumb creature, can't they see a murder when its right infront of them? I crouched low, ready to pounce, but then the world spun, and I slipped into unconsciousness. But only to hear the call of the raven before I went.
