Hello there! This isn't quite an adoption center, but rather a single adoptable of a specie I've been developing. I wish to know how they would be looked upon by the CS community before continuing their development, since I've introduced them to a different site that did not give much for feedback. nvn'
Firstly, a bit of background info;
-what they look like- with a crappy watermark for security >:0
They are called Kankus
(Can-koo-z)
Physical attributes;;
Long ears
Most have horns. They can sometimes get snapped off depending on the force applied, but they always grow back :v
Long necks!
They're tall -- the tallest adult Kanku being 6'11 and the shortest being 5'6.
"volume" ears - there are odd bar markings on their ears that light up when they hear noise depending on the loudness.
Edits don't affect their rarity. Also, every Kanku holds a star of their own that for now, doesn't have a specific function.
A few rules for the adoption, also!
- please dont transfer the design to a different specie ;v;
- dont claim the specie as your own,,,,
- please be nice! I dont know if this will get any attention whatsoever, but it's really nice when everyone's nice. ;w;
- not exactly a rule, but Kankus can have any gender/sexuality once won. ;v; I expect no arguments over this if this gets attention, please,,,

What are Kankus?
- Believed to be a mix of a kangaroo, dragon, cat, and canine upon first sight, these elusive creatures have been long depicted in ancient artworks as highly respected (and even worshipped!) cat-sized creatures of harmony and peace. When these artifacts have been uncovered and deciphered by archeologists and scientists, curiosity naturally drove the scholars on a search around the abandoned (but lively) island for any remains of the ancient creature.
Years and years passed by without any traces of the mysterious Kanku to be seen - with the search teams at the brink of calling it quits. If not for a particular search team, the elusive creature would have possibly never been discovered. This search team, among all others, refused to quit the search until at least one piece of existing proof of the creature could be found. Having traveled quite far throughout the island, the team was in absolute disbelief when they caught very brief glimpses of what looked like a Kanku speedily racing by within the dense underbrush. With racing hearts and renewed enthusiasm, the team immediately pursued the figure.
On the fortunate side, the team became the first humans to discover Kankus in a span of thousands of years! On the less fortunate side, the team had not given much thought about the pursuit of the Kanku - and so, startled the creature. A bit different than what the team had first suspected, the Kanku is tall and intimidating in contrast to the domestic cat size they originally believed it to have. This confrontation, while successful, went rather roughly - with most of the team having been injured by the sheer strength of the Kanku's tail sweeps. It was successfully contained nonetheless, and proved to be far from aggressive after few studies.
Through various tests, the Kanku has also been found to be a specie on its own (meaning that the scientists have found no traces of other animal combinations in its DNA). Behavior-wise, the Kanku has been noted to be rather friendly, resourceful, loyal, cuddly, and capable of learning to understand human language (not speaking, though)! Though the scientists and expedition teams share the opinion that the search has been awfully long and rough for everyone, they can certainly all agree that the discovery of the Kanku has made it 100% worth it!
With the help of the first (in a long time) domesticated Kanku at their side, an increasing amount of Kankus emerged from their places and almost immediately formed bonds with the humans of which they settled among. However, with the respectful kind of creature the Kanku is, they are not simply seen in "pet shops" or anything of the like -- they appear to choose their owner themselves. Do you have what it takes to attract one of these magnificent creatures to call your own?
