Basic Information
An Akuma Hound, or simply Akuma for short (Akuma/s plural), is a large, lion-sized hellhound with a sturdy and muscular build, weighing about 415 pounds, while females weigh more of around 260 on an estimated average, though the values may be a few numbers lower. Akuma have large, retractable claws on their paws and fire abilities, which may be cast from either the paws or the mouth, the color of which is the same as their eye color. If eating regular food, they are typically carnivorous, but need to devour a soul occasionally in order to survive. They always have bony features, from a bone foot to a bone tail, though are almost always seen with a skull mask. Their horns and spines are very sharp and sturdy, but if broken, may grow back in as long as a month or as short as a week.
Rare types may lack horns or spines, skull masks, or even magic, which also means a lack of eye color. These types are usually considered "dead" and may not be assigned proper roles.

Habitat
Akumas generally prefer hotter areas, and can resist an outstanding amount of heat. Due to their large amount of time spent in the Underworld, they have evolved to require heat in large amounts and may sit in a bonfire to obtain this. However, there are some rare, fluffy Akuma breeds which have been born to prefer cooler whether or even subzero temperatures; these are usually considered "dead".

Breeding & Gender
Only Akumas of the opposite sex may breed with each other. Gender does not affect breeding, and any gender of Akumas may be present.

Howdy folks!

It's been much too long. Akuma Adopts has been 'on hold' for over a month now. During that time, I was actually packing at first before it was decided we were not going to move - and from then on, I was flopping back and forth between ideas for this and what I was going to do. Of course, I'm not going to let this die like all of my other adoptables. I'm being for real this time. So yes, there's going to be progress... I've started on a project! If you want to know, there's actually new lineart in the works, which you can preview here. (Imgur not working? I can show you a Tumblr version if you'd like.) All old versions will be transferred to the new lineart, but the original ones will be kept for use if you would like.

Now then, since it wouldn't be fair otherwise, I'm going to be renewing guest artist positions. Hopefully this new lineart will be finished before too long!

P.S: I'm also going to be revamping the idea of the whole thing... this doesn't work.
