What Are Shorks?

Shorks are large, dragon/ horse-like animals that are from the Pacific Ocean. They live in large packs of 4 to 5 animals and almost always stay together for life. They have long dorsal fins which are mostly used for balance while swimming, but can also be used for "flying" or gliding between waves like flying fish. They are actually both warm blooded and cold blooded, they change their type of blood depending on the circumstance. They have sharp, shark-like teeth as well as horse-like molars and have whiskers at birth that are lost when they are mature. They swim up to speeds of 120 mph and love to have company whenever they can. They generally breed in early Winter and late Fall when they are wild, and lay eggs. Domesticated shorks are able to breed at any time, their eggs hatching anywhere from a month to three months after being laid (1 to 3 days). So, now that you know what they are, come on and dive in to the world of the shorks!!

Gender Switch Fish
Each fish can change the gender of one creature to the gender that is opposite to its original.

This lets you put any jewelry you want on any of your pets.

Environment / Background
This is a fun add-on to any little pet! It comes with nothing in it except your pet, but for 1 Rare pet, I'll add in anything to your cage/tank that you want!
Costs: 2 Commons (without the extra Rare for extra items). In Stock: Infinity

Baby Forever Fish
This fish's result is similar to a PPS pet in chicken smoothie. This changes a pet forever to a baby and the pet will never have the ability to breed.
Costs: 1 Uncommon

Customs

Have you ever wanted your pet Shork a certain way, but none of the artists made it, or you didn't want to breed your pets to get it? Well now you can have your pet Shork exactly how you want it!

Custom Shorks Give you the ability to:
- Choose the coloring of your Shork
- Choose gender
- Choose a tattoo design on him/ her (optional)
- Choose extra mutations on the Shork (optional. Does not include mutations that are sold in the store.)

Breeding

When wild, Shorks breed in early Winter and late Fall. They lay their 3-5 eggs in a small nest immediately after breeding, hiding their nest in a good place that predators can't find easily. They protect their eggs until the eggs hatch three months later, and then the baby Shorks must fend for themselves. In this facility, domesticated Shorks are able to breed at any time, their eggs hatching anywhere from a month to three months after being laid (1 to 3 days). Here however, they do not lay their eggs immediately, but normally a day or so after the breeding. Only healthy Shorks are allowed to breed, so you must have your Shork not breed for a week if you adopted it from the pound. Sometimes Shorks of different genders will be put together in the same tank by their owner for a couple days and the Shorks will fall in love. I will let you know when this happens. Unwanted babies will be put up for adoption. Now, here's how it works:

1.You find a mate for your pet. (You may breed your pet with someone else's if you have the owner's permission. Or, you can use a mystery breeding pet)
2.You fill out the form below.
3.You pay for the breeding (Costs 1 Rare)
4.An artist begins designing the offspring.
5.The offspring are taken to the nursery (not made yet!) or are PMed to you. (Unwanted babies will be put up for adoption.)

Events

This is where most events are posted and they normally include some really cool, free items! So check back here often!

Summer Lottery Event!
How It Works:
1. I will be hiding tickets that look like: throughout all of my posts since the beginning of Shork Adopts.
2. You have to go find the tickets and when you do, quote the post it is in and say "I found a lottery ticket!".
3. Your name will be put into a random name mixer with everyone else who found a ticket, whoever's name gets pulled up wins.
4. You can find as many tickets as you want. More Tickets = Better Chance of Winning!
5. The names will be put in the mixer when all the tickets have been found!
Prizes!:
1st place: 1 completely free custom (lineart edits included), custom pet butterfly (animated), and 1 free item of choice from the Shork Store.
2nd place: Custom pet butterfly (not animated) and 1 free item of choice from the Shork Store.
3rd place: 1 free item of choice from the Shork Store.
