Right...
The genotype is the set of genes that gives a dog it's colour.
A locus (plural locii) is a particular part that controls particular things, e.g. K locus controls black pigment (eumelanin) and M locus controls merling.
If you want a specific colour Caniwara, you need to breed two Caniwara with the correct genotype. To predict the outcome, use a punnet square.
Should I give the genotype with the Caniwara, or should you have to buy an item to discover it's genotype?
