Name Meaning: Rajanee is a variant of "Rajani" and means 'night. (pronounced: r(a)-ja-nee)
Personality: Rajanee is a powerful girl and tends to be hyperactive and pretty funky. You can sense her energy when you are around her and although she is a bit demanding it is still refreshing to be with her. Sometimes she won't sleep or even rest for two days straight, because she simply can't. At those times she can be really tiring for the ones with and around her. Someone must force her to sleep when she won't calm down by herself. Although it may sound strange, she likes it to have another Teke beside her to nicker and snort softly when she wants to sleep. It is like a lullaby for Rajanee and reminds her of her mother. She has a bit of a soft spot when she talks about her mother, because she still misses her. It was kind of a shocking experience for Rajanee when she had to leave the herd where she was born in. Rajanee is the exact opposite of a wallflower when it comes to communication with other Tekes and also humans. Possibly because of her powerful (and hyperactive) attitude she has a good feeling for making friends (and scaring those off that can't handle things that jump around and grin all the time). She was seen near the water a lot and she seems to enjoy to splash around in a little pond from time to time. One of the things Rajanee can't handle are fights, either verbal or physical. She will run, rather than to stay and fight. Only when she is in her herd she feels safe and won't run. You will rarely, if ever, see her walking around alone.

It was even harder for me to deal with my fear of being alone. Every time I spotted something larger than a fox, and that looked like a predator, I ran away. Same with bachelor Tekes. Possibly that's because my mother and the others alway cared for me and protected me. I had a normal foal-hood and don't really remember any special events besides the day when my mother told me I had to go. But at all I really don't know why I can't handle fights, I was never good in discussing with other creatures neither was I ever good in adapting to a new situation. But that part, adapting to a knew situation, should change during a meeting with a special human...

▌ ♡ going on, and sometimes, she would rather stay out of it. You really have to get to know her to find her true personality. She's like a
▌ ♡ gobstopper. You just have to keep going through it to get to the inner layers - her true personality. When she first meets a horse, she
▌ ♡ is shy, and covers her feelings and emotions. She tries her hardest to be courteous and caring. Alot of people find her hard to talk to

▌ ♡ History: Uzuri's mother was a beautiful old leopard appaloosa mare. Her father was a strong black tobiano stallion. When she was born,
▌ ♡ she was nothing like anyone had seen before. Her colour was stunning. Beautiful. Many other mares would crowd around her to see her,
▌ ♡ and look at her unusual dip and beautiful colouring. She grew up a normal foal, and her owners were very proud of her. She was the prize
▌ ♡ filly. But when she turned 2, her owners ran out of money, and were forced to sell her as she is the only horse they had with enough
▌ ♡ worth to relieve their debts. She was reluctantly tossed into an auction ring, and trotted around as many paddles were raised in
▌ ♡ the air. Her owners stood by the fence, watching her for the last time as she was auctioned off to a man and his daughter.
▌ ♡ She was sad, but she had to move on. Her new owners daughter fell in love with her, and brought her many things when she went to visit.
▌ ♡ When Uzuri was old enough, she was bred, then started work under the saddle. To the girl's delight, she got to help her father train
▌ ♡ her, and would even try to ride her. Uzuri still lives in her small herd out in the paddocks, though. She isn't ridden very
▌ ♡ often, but is cared for very well. Uzuri is living a happy life, and she hopes that her owners don't miss her too much.

▌ ♡ Story: The earliest life event I can remember is when I was lost. Our owners had let us out into a larger area, and I decided to explore
▌ ♡ the beautiful golden desert. I strayed from my mother and kept going until I realized I was lost. I tried to find my mother but she was
▌ ♡ nowhere to be seen. It was getting dark, and I could hear a neigh from the distance. My mother's neigh. I called out to her as she
▌ ♡ cantered over. 'My dear Uzuri,' she asked. 'Where have you been?'
▌ ♡ 'I decided to explore and I got lost!' My mother lay down next to me and began to tell me a story.
▌ ♡ 'You must remember, dear Uzuri, to follow your heart.'
▌ ♡ 'What does that mean?' I was confused.
▌ ♡ 'A human sometimes will hunt with a bow and arrow. First, they must find that animal. Then they will take aim, and shoot. They are
▌ ♡ skilled, and they know how to make their arrow shoot where they please. But the animal might move, and there is nothing they can do
▌ ♡ to stop it. But they have faith that their arrow will hit their prey. Just like you must have faith that your arrow will lead you home. Even
▌ ♡ if the archer misses, they must go and find that arrow. So must you. Never stop looking for you arrow. Trust your senses to guide you
▌ ♡ home. You will be lost many more times in your life, but remember what I have told you.'

▌ ♡ dragging my feet through the tiny crunchy stones. I can hear the shrill whinny of a horse pierce my ears, and the hustle and bustle of
▌ ♡ people looking for a new horse to buy. We squish our way through the populated crowd, and I plop down on a silver bench. My dad gives
▌ ♡ me a weird look, and then focuses his attention back on the horses running through the small yard. There was nothing interesting to
▌ ♡ see, just people raising their white paddles as horse after horse was sold to a new home. It was pretty interesting when one of them
▌ ♡ spooked though. Thank the lord the boy didn't get run over. I take in another gust of air and prepare to sigh loudly again, in an attempt
▌ ♡ to hint to my father that I wanted to leave. But my breath caught in my throat as I saw a pretty little mare come out into the auction
▌ ♡ ring. I watched her every move, as she floated around the pen. She was beautiful. I never knew horses were like this. I saw 4
▌ ♡ beads on the baby blue string around her neck. One for hope, one for faith, one for joy, and one for destiny. Destiny. I thought. As I
▌ ♡ watched paddles flash into the air, I knew I wanted her. I suddenly sat up straight and tried to take all the bids in. My father looked
▌ ♡ at me and smiled a little. He raised his paddle and I grinned. He didn't seem shocked by my sudden longing to own this horse. I mean,
▌ ♡ everyone wanted her. I was surrounded by a sea of white paddles, as bidders fought furiously and winning the mare. My father
▌ ♡ didn't stop. Her price was rising, and I wanted to stop him before he got too high. But something made me keep my mouth shut.
▌ ♡ Maybe it was the way she moved, trotting so gracefully, and a canter like a dream. The sound drowned around me. I felt like I
▌ ♡ was swimming in noise. Suddenly, everything was silent. All the noise drowned out as I focused on her. Beautiful, I thought. Uzuri. I hear
▌ ♡ the muffled bang as the hammer hits down on the table. Something was shaking my shoulder as I was snapped back to the
▌ ♡ real world. It was my father. 'We won her!' he beamed. 'Shall we go and see her?' I nodded and followed him to the yards,
▌ ♡ where Uzuri and her seller was standing. I walked over with my father and looked her all over as my father talked to the seller.
▌ ♡ I reached my hand out to touch her. Her nose was like velvet, silky and smooth. I looked back at my father and he nodded. I walked
▌ ♡ closer and grasped her lead. I patted her leopard like neck and her black body. She nickered and nuzzled my arm. My father
▌ ♡ prepared the old rusty trailer, and I begged him to ride in the trailer with her.
▌ ♡ 'Please?' I begged him.
▌ ♡ 'Your attitude has changed a lot since we got here..'
▌ ♡ 'I know but.. Please?' I brushed it off.
▌ ♡ 'Okay, it is a pretty short ride home.' I hopped in the trailer and secured Uzuri's halter. My father came in to check I was ok.
▌ ♡ 'I'm guessing you already have a name for her?' he questioned.
▌ ♡ 'Yes,' I said. 'Uzuri.' My father smiled the warm smile I know.
▌ ♡ 'Perfect!' he beamed. He gave Uzuri a firm pat as he left the trailer and closed it up. I could hear the engine rev as the car came to
▌ ♡ life and started down the road.
▌ ♡ 'Not long now, Uzuri.' I whispered.

▌ ♡ Why do I want her? I really really -really- love this Teke. Her coat is gorgeous and stunning, and I would really love her as part
▌ ♡ of my collection. I have put a lot of effort into my art pieces, because she is definitely worth it. All tekes are special but this one I
▌ ♡ have really gravitated towards. I know my art is crappy, and to do anything good would take weeks of work, but I put effort into
▌ ♡ every piece I do, and it would be so awesome if I won her. Effort over ability, right? No matter how hard I try, I can never get it
▌ ♡ right. But, I can put as much effort in as possible, which is what I am doing now ^^. I hope you enjoy my form! And may the best win :3
