Gender of Raidolon: Male

Name of Raidolon(No names like 'Poppy', 'Mike' et
c..): Rolatz (Roll-ahtz)

Birthstone of Raidolon:
Emerald

Affinity of Raidolon(This is decided by the Birthstone): Ice

Why you want to adopt a Raidolon:
First of all, just by reading the thread and looking at the pictures, I can tell how much effort you put into making this species come alive. You obviously poured your heart and soul into making these beautiful creatures, and I would be privileged and ecstatic to own one. Also, they’re big, fluffy mineral-canines. Whoever doesn’t want one should really take a look at themselves, because they’re a bit dim XD

Write a story for the specific Raidolon:
____________________________________

Rolatz sat underneath one of the waterfalls, the strong gushes of water pelting his fur. He sighed, relaxed. He never liked the heat much. His natural affinities for cold made the muggy, warm air of summer nearly unbearable. Feeling contented and cooled off, he emerged from underneath the water, paddling his paws in the puddles gathered around the waterfall. He shook himself off, looking up at the sky and squinting. The sun was high in the sky, and he believed it was around the end of July.

Ghe'ssat was quickly approaching, and according to his friends, a few females were looking at him quite fondly. He sighed again, this time annoyed. He was interested in a mate, but only one that he truly felt he belonged with. He wanted to meet a girl who could just sit underneath the sky with him, looking at the clouds and at night, point out constellations and shooting stars. He wanted someone who believed that life wasn’t pre-planned. He was never one to believe in destiny. He wanted control. He was a typical stubborn buck, after all.

A few days later, Rolatz walked around the great forests of Ii'elar Dema'que, inhaling the sweet scent of the trees and flowers. He looked around, once, twice, before a large grin spread on his muzzle. He lay down, and rolled in the grass, lightly laughing to himself. He lay on his back, rubbing it on the soft grass, as his horns lay against the soil. A small petal landed on his nose, as he blew it off, smiling.

“You look like an absolute idiot.” A female voice cut through the thick air, sounding slightly amused. He rolled quickly onto his paws, holding his head high. “Who’re you?” He said loudly, the doe around 30 feet away.

“Nobody. I’m just a doe who happened to stumble upon you rolling in the grass like a foolish pup.” She walked towards him, a sly smile spread across her muzzle. He hated to admit it, but she was quite beautiful. Her light orange fur was mottled with dark red tribal markings, her flank containing large swirls. Her horns weren’t oversized, but were still intimidating, and her dark blue eyes stared into his. He felt himself swallow hard.

“You should be careful of what you say. You don’t seem to be very old.” He said, his eyes narrowing. He turned away from and began to walk away. She followed him, laughing. “What’s your name?” She said playfully, walking in a circle around him, her eyes skimming over him and around the nearby foliage.

“Why should I tell you, a precocious young doe?” His voice held a tone of annoyance, a slight growl hidden behind it. He turned around, put his face close to hers, and blew a puff of air in her eyes. She backed away slightly, grunting. “I asked you politely. You could at least answer me in a civilized fashion.” She smirked, frustration lurking behind her deep blue eyes.

“Heh. Fine. My name, kind miss, is Rolatz of the Western Waters. It is an immense pleasure to be acquainted with your presence.” He snorted at the end of his snide speech, turning and beginning to walk away once again.

“Have fun rolling around, Rolatz. I’ll be seeing you soon. Ghe’ssat is coming.” She yelled across the glen, turning and walking her separate way. Rolatz felt his face heat up slightly. Hearing the female say his name so…oddly made a lump form in his throat. He thought about the upcoming gathering and what it symbolized. His brain began to run loops around itself as he subconsciously walked back to his favorite waterfall. He laid down in one of the rivers, the cool water rushing over his horns and his fur. He closed his eyes, and began to doze, hearing the female’s voice repeat his name in his head.

The seven days until Ghe’ssat blended and merged into one big blur of days, the hours passing quickly. One week seemed like mere minutes to Rolatz, and he spent his days lazing in the rivers and hunting. The day came to where the herds gathered, Raidolons of numerous shapes, sizes, and colors walked around, focusing on where their soul mate might lie. Rolatz meandered around, chatting with some of his buck friends and trying to avoid the love-sick and immature does eyeing him. He sneered at one of his best friends, who had a few young does gathered around him, the females eager to see who he bonded with.

Suddenly, Rolatz felt his stomach drop and his heart speed up. He whipped his head fully around and his eyes met with a pair of dark blue eyes, the color of the night sky he loved looking at. His eyes widened as he realized who he was staring at.

Of all the Raidolons on the entire continent, he had to meet her. She had a look of slight disbelief, as she started to snicker and tried to hold in a laugh. “Oh goodness, it looks like Rolatz of the Western Waters is a little surprised to see this precocious young doe.” She began to laugh almost hysterically, her eyes closed and her head held low.

“What? Of course not. I’m surprised to see you here. I would never imagine you of being able to find a mate.” He sneered and smiled, walking around her. He heard her snort quietly, and she turned around and spoke loudly.

“Yes, well, at least I’m not a ‘do-nothing,’ such as yourself.” She had a look of slight annoyance on her pretty face, as Rolatz’ eyebrows cocked. “Yes, well, at least I don’t stalk a particular ‘do-nothing,’ unlike yourself.” He said lazily, looking into the sky. “I have to go, this gathering is pointless, and you’re annoying me.” He said while walking away, ears tucked back and head held low. Her face flushed, her dark blue eyes flashing dangerously.

“Yeah, well, at least I have the sense to realize I’m attracted to someone!” She yelled, mane bristling and ears folded backwards. Other bucks and does turning and looking at the young doe. Her eyes widened and she blushed even harder, looking around and back at Rolatz. He felt his jaw drop, realizing what her statement meant. Before he could say something back, she quickly pushed her way through the crowd, disappearing in the masses. Rolatz stood, feeling helpless, as some of his friends walked up to him.

“What was that kid’s problem?” His friend, Et’ares said, looking confused. Rolatz shrugged slightly and muttered back at his friend. “I…I don’t have a clue.” He walked away, looking back once, trying to spot her bright orange fur, but failing. He sighed, and went off with his friends, desperate to find relaxation under the pounding waters of the waterfalls.

Another three days passed like sand through an hourglass. Rolatz awoke, hearing the slight snapping of branches and the rustling of a body through bushes. He cracked his eye open, sitting up out of the small river he was lying in. He rubbed his eyes with his paw and blinked. He felt a scowl cross his face as he saw the figure. Of course, she found of where he hung out. Her face was stony, as she stared at him. “Did I wake you?” She said quietly. The sentence was loaded with sarcasm and cold anger. “No, not really. I was just napping. The water’s nice.” He replied nonchalantly, waving his paw around. She wasn’t that far away, 40, maybe 50 feet away, but he could hear her quite well. She walked towards him at first, which quickly turned into a run, which turned again into a full-on sprint, as she stopped right before him.

He looked down, perplexed, at the young doe in front of him. “Are you alright?” He said. She looked up at him, and harshly rammed her horns against his, sending him falling back into the water. He spluttered, spitting water out of his mouth. She stared at him, and yelled, her echo moving throughout the small valley.

“My name is Asela, I think that you’re a complete and utter idiot, and I think I have feelings for you.” She said quickly. He felt the same lump in his throat that he felt when she said his name.

“You mean, the Err’etta?” He said, still confused about the feeling in his stomach and his chest. They both swallowed hard, and looked away from each other. Her head held high, she walked over to him and paddled her paws in the water. “Come on. Get up, you big fool.” She said, looking down at him.

“Don’t order me, you foolish pup.” He said, standing. He towered over her, but he still felt submissive. Her presence was dominating. “I can order you around, considering I’m now your mate.” She said, now looking up at him, her voice once again playful.

“I can’t believe I’m mates with a child like you.” Rolatz said, mischievously.

“I can’t believe I’m mates with a sheer idiot like you.” She replied, smiling.

“Asela.” He said, testing out her name, the syllables rolling off his tongue.

“Rolatz.” She also muttered, saying the name of her bonded mate.

He still didn’t believe in destiny or fate, not completely at least. Meeting Asela had nearly changed his mind. Not totally though. He was still a stubborn idiot, after all.
