Once upon a time, some explorers found a nest full of small, round eggs on a small island named Cutropicue. The explorers thought, at first, that the eggs were turtle eggs, but after close examination, they noticed little kitten whiskers were poking out of the eggs' shells. The explorers set up camp nearby to the nest and watched it carefully day in and day out. Finally, after a few days, the eggs hatched and a strange creature poked it's way out. It was have cat, half turtle, with a cat's head, whiskers, tail, and front paws, and a turtle's shell, hind legs and ability to put it's head into it's shell. The explorers decided to call them kitturtles, but they never breathed a word about the island with all it's strange fauna and flora when they got back home. In fact, they even said that there had been nothing but barren land and harsh weather on Cutropicue. You see, they wanted to protect these exotic creatures from the rest of the world, and let the island flourish and live on in peace.
However, the kitturtles happened to be curious, like cats, and they swam out to sea to discover the world for themselves. Luckily, they only came across me once they reached the first stretch of land they had seen in days. They were sad and lonely and needed the love of an owner. So I decided to set up this shop so that you, dear user, may care for your very own kitturtles and give them the love they need so desperately. So welcome to my kitturtle shelter! And may you love your kitturtle for eternity.
