idony comes from the name idun, who in Norse mythology was the goddess of spring or rejuvenation and the wife of Bragi, the god of poetry. She was the keeper of the magic apples of immortality, which the gods must eat to preserve their youth. When, through the cunning of Loki, the trickster god, she and her apples were seized by the giant Thiassi and taken to the realm of the giants, the gods quickly began to grow old. They then forced Loki to rescue Idun, which he did by taking the form of a falcon, changing Idun into a nut (in some sources, a sparrow), and flying off with her in his claws.
I chose idony because her name symbolises renewal and the birth of spring. The spring element of her character is show by the delicate blossoms and youthful look, and I thought renewal was also a suitable description, as trees are constantly starting anew, especially in spring.

Hello everyone! I'm sorry I haven't posted any updates here for a while, but I have been having some serious issues for a long time with my laptop crashing on me, and currently it's in the hands of a tech-savvy friend of my dad's, to see if he can possibly fix whatever's wrong. I'm not sure how long it's gonna take him, and I am only able to sign on through the iPad right now and my access is very limited. I'm going to hand this round over to my staff if they'd like to carry out the judging-- but if Amethyst, Panda, and C-ren are busy, I could definitely round up some guest judges instead. I just wanna get these guys adopted; I feel badly that it's been so long :c

So yes, staff members, if you guys could let me know if you're able to do the judging or not, that'd be awesome! You guys can PM me or post here, either's fine. ♥

An airhead by nature, Aquilo is often happy just to sit and day-dream, people often think he is forgetful or just lazy. But that is not the case, he is very intelligent but because he is happier just to spend time in his own head rather than in the real world he does miss things others would find very obvious. Very imaginative, he often times will just think up new ways and new things. He quite enjoys abstract ideas and often times they aren't practical but he doesn't care!
Being an air element and a 9 by nature, he avoids conflict as much as he possibly can, for that reason people might see him as a pushover and many take advantage of this. Often times this gets him down so he will often retreat into his own world where people will not harm him.

Story
The air whistled through the trees, a young Badger Deer lay in a lush green meadow. His eyes were half closed and his ears were drooping slightly. A soft buzzing reached his ears and he opened his tangerine eyes to see a young bumblebee make his way from flower to flower.
Dreamily the Badger Deer thought of what it might be like to be a Bumblebee, to be able to fly where he wished, from flower to flower. He imagined himself with great big bumblebee wings. Beating rapidly as he made his way over the meadow. The Badger Deer closed his eyes and the world unfolded before him. He saw the lushness of the grass, now far taller than himself, the flowers like trees above his head.
He landed on a flower, keeping his balance with a little difficulty then sipping the sweet nectar and scooping up the pollen. Leaving the flower beneath him he rose up, seeing life going on around him. Butterflies and grasshoppers, busily going about their day, and as his wings beat he was at the center of it all. He flew higher and higher, until he could see the world unfold around him.

And in the grass, the young Badger Deer now slept.
