Week of April 5

So it's really late, and this Weekly Update is a little delayed but.... ^_^

IMPORTANT: I announced previously that I would be in Mexico during April 10-17th, however I checked my calendar. I realized that I would be staying in Mexico for another week and won't return until the 24th of April. Silly KM! So to clarify: I WILL BE GONE DURING APRIL 10 - 24. And unlike Costa Rica, I am NOT bringing my laptop, so I am NOT checking ML nor am I going to work on anything related to ML. Sorry, but it's my vacation time that I want to spend with my friends that I don't see very often.

We have some unexpected, but exciting things coming up in ML! Including our Fiesta del Comida event! Remember, if you are an artist...please start making FOOD-based litters! Try and be as creative as possible!

If you didn't read the previous announcement that was notified earlier, several ML staff members spoke with CS mods, if there was "a page limit" to a thread. The mods responded that they lock threads after it reaches 900 pages. As most of you know, ML is a fast-paced moving thread, and we're likely to get to 900 pages before the end of April, so expect a brand new spiffy thread! It's going to be sad to say goodbye to this thread, but we've had a lot of great memories and stories that we can carry onto our next thread!

Later this weekend, we are going to be releasing a special item that will only be in the store for a few hours at the most! Stay tuned!

We also are in a little bit of need with ML staff members. Some of our previous staff members were kind and considerate people, but they were not very active! So we're going to start looking for staff applications! Remember, it's a privilege to be apart of ML, and you should follow through with your commitments! I understand how everyone has a life, but being an artist for two and a half months and not even sending in one litter? Come on, that's a little silly! ^^' Unfortunately, ML is very popular now, and we're going to have to be releasing more litters. It's up to our artists to start stepping it up and start making more litters! Again, I understand everybody has a life outside of CS (at least I hope you do!), and I understand if you need to go on a hiatus or a vacation!

The Art Competition is still going on and won't end for another two or three weeks! If you haven't submitted an entry yet, do so now! If you already submitted an entry but would like to "delete your old entry" and try again, this is also acceptable! Good luck!

Please note, we are only going to hire about 2-3 members per moderator position. We are only looking for 1-2 artists. And about 1-2 guest artists.

As of now, staff members are not paid in CS pets, ML stars, ML customs, etc, but a feature like this will probably happen in the future. Please understand that if you are accepted as a staff member, you must agree and uphold all of the CS rules and ML rules. You must not abuse your power, instead you must be respectful to other users and staff members.

If you are ALREADY apart of ML staff, you ARE allowed to enter for another position. For example, if you are an artist but would love to be a moderator, you are allowed to fill out an application.

Tell the owner of ML. They shouldn't be doing that, stealing art isn't right. I don't care if they're my best friend.

Tell a moderator from both ML and the other adoption centre. That's not original, and I'm sure others would like new designs because they were based off others. Again, stealing art isn't right.

I will tell them to please start using the search function and that if they don't, I may have to report to the owner for spamming when a mwitten was obviously already taken.

Please write a short paragraph explaining why you want to be a Moderator: About 4 months ago, I ran an adoptables thread named Chibbu [which is now owned by boosh], and got quite a bit of experience moderating from there. Booshcat showed me ML, and I was immediately obsessed with it. I adequately know how ML works and how it runs. Helping members has always been something I loved, and I'd love to help ML with moderating the thread.

I like how I would have the freedom on the thread to tell players breaking the rules to stop. I think I'd be a good moderator since I take it gently and calmly as I can while I talk to the people. I've wanted to be an artist for you guys ever since I first saw this place. {I bet a lot of people wanted to, mwittens are just so dang adorable!} I believe becoming an artist for ML would slowly help me improve my pixel-ing skills, help me meet new people {although I know pretty much everybody on the thread, but they really don't know me. xD}, and it would help me become more active on ML.

Can you animate mwittens? No, but I would be more then happy to learn if any artists (or others) was willing to teach me!
Can you shade the mwitten lineart? Not the lineart itself but I can color shaded lineart and I could most likely shade add-ons (as long as they weren't too complex)

Please write a short paragraph explaining why you want to be a Guest Artist: Well, I've actually been considering asking KM for a guest artist postition for a while now but I was always intimidated by the amazing artists here. I've seen so many join.me's that it's on the list of my six most visited cites on chrome and I love every minute of them. I have several ideas for mwittens litters, some that I've already told artists about so I wouldn't do those but several that I think would be pretty cool!

What do you do?: Well seeing as I don't have a best friend on CS.......random fact about El aside, I would tell them first that what they are doing is wrong and they need to remove the stolen artwork immediately and if they didn't stop using it I would report it to KM and report the thread/whatever else they were putting it on.

[If this were to happen I would suggest that the artist must remake all of the stolen designs and have an announcement about why some peoples mwittens were changed, and depending on the amount/degree of theft, have the artist removed from the ML staff]

Explain to them that all the mwittens are taking so they will have to wait until a new litter comes out and remind them that they are spamming. If they kept spamming after that I would remind them a one or two more times before PMing them about so as not the spam the thread myself. If the problem persisted I would contact KM about the possibility of a strike.
Please write a short paragraph explaining why you want to be a Moderator: I honestly love to help people out whenever I can! I continuously find myself wanted to remind people that they are spamming the thread when the other mods aren't on but I don't want to mini-mod. I love that people are excited about ML (trust me I am too guys!) but it drives me crazy when they spam the thread with it for two reasons, 1) It makes the thread move so quickly I don't like switching threads (even if we have to) because many of the posts were not entirely necessary and 2) When I'm stalking the thread waiting for a litter to come out it drives me BAT ISH CRAZY when I get my heart racing 'cause there was a post but it ended up just being someone saying "omggggg so excited!" [we have chatzy for a reason guys c;]. But overall I think I have the right skills to take on this job because I generally handle things like giving out warnings and such calmly and respectfully but with enough strictness that they take it seriously.
