So I have a problem. I'm making a form for W8, and I see that it has 'big ram horns' so I'm guessing it's meant to be male? but I see this Geonnec as a female and come up with nice ideas if it was female. Please let me know if you would prefer it a certain way, thank you!

But if you do, please talk to Kam. She's had a lot of issues with people trying to get around the gender thing by making him/her trans, and you really, really need to have a solid argument as to why you think this way.

Why do you want this goennec?:

To be honest, I've admired her pattern since she was put up, but I was too focused on getting Baron, Barbaro and Napoleon that I never really let myself get attached. I was considering going for yet another - different - Goey this round... but I can't do that. Not when this beautiful girl has been lacking a home for so long. I always have room for ewes on my herd... rams outnumber them by some ridiculous number, and there's just too much testosterone floating around that I need them more than I need boys. So I guess it's only fitting that I go for her.

How would you use this character?:

Same as I use all of my characters. They permeate my life in ways that... it's impossible to name everything. Every waking and unconscious moment is spent with at least one character active in my brain, and I'm just lucky if it's a quiet character in there during a time when I need to think, like during tests or when I'm trying to meditate.

Define your Goennec:

Personality
Margaux - nicknamed Mags by most of the herd except Delacroix - is a quiet, kindly little Goennec who rarely speaks because she is so impossibly shy. She often stands with her feet together, as if making herself take up as small of a space as possible. She never wants to get in the way of others, and will often go to the part of a meadow where there is the least amount of food (and therefore Goennecs), where she can eat without getting in the way of others. She hides in the shadows of rams (and, at times, Gabri) during the Siv, submitting herself to them despite having a very hard time carrying kids because of her skimpy eating habits and unwillingness to bother others by asking for help. She often loses the child if the ram has more than one ewe to take care of, or is distracted and/or oblivious to her needs.

Likes
Quiet. Margaux loves peace and quiet, and will spend hours simply staring into the river or the sky, blocking out the noisy herd around her. Her mind is really the only space she willingly calls her own.
Autumn. While the dead of winter holds the most silence, it's far too cold for Margaux. The next best thing is autumn, while the birds are gone and the other animals are working on their hibernation hovels or winter stockpiles, rather than running around an making noise. Those whose mating season is in the fall, such as deer, don't really bother Margaux as much, because they tend to do battle where there is more room and fewer Goennecs to harass them as they rut.
Minnows. Though small, Margaux finds minnows incredibly tasty and easy to catch. She enjoys eating them whole, doing her best to kill them as fast as she can before they suffer.

This list is short, not out of incompleteness, but because Margaux believes that few joys in life make the moments that she is able to relish them even sweeter. Also, she is afraid of being too happy, as she has watched Ruffian's obnoxiously cheerful nature disrupt others... and she doesn't want to be a bother.

Dislikes
Spring. It's not that Margaux hates it, but the season's just too noisy for her. The birds, the crying kids, the entire world waking up all over again... it drives her up the wall.
Boisterousness. Goennecs like Haldis, who won't shut up, and Ruffian, who won't sit still, make life miserable for Margaux just by existing. She'd love for Haldis to learn the art of silence, and she'd also like Secretariat to teach his sister a lesson on calmness.
Hail. Hailstorms are uncommon events, but they're still painful and have caused Margaux much pain over the years. She has scars on her hide from where she was pummeled by golf-ball-sized hailstones.
Attention. Margaux shuns attention, and runs from it whenever possible. She hates it during the Siv, when a ram is challenged over her. To her... it's not a compliment. It's something to be ashamed about - after all, she believes it is her fault that blood is being spilled.

Why do you want this goennec?:
I have been watching the young lady for a few rounds now and I am shocked she hasn't gone anywhere. The simplicity of her markings is beautiful, she to me looks like chocolate so makes me a little hungry when looking at her. Her creamy, paler muzzle, ears and paws add to the beauty of this little lady. Over the rounds I have gotten a few ideas for her and now I have decided its time to apply. She doesn't deserve to sit up there for many rounds to come, she deserves to come home to a herd that loves her.
How would you use this character?:
Hestia would be the newest addition to my herd, a long lost sister of big ole Rafe. She seems to me that her soft side could easily be overshadowing a cheeky minx and that she could seriously drive some herd members insane. I would add her to the RP to offset her more mature sibling and I would try to get some art of her, I have seen a ton of artists I hope to be able to afford soon and hopefully they can do her justice.

Detailed Personality:
Hestia is a youngster at heart and she has no plans to change. She is extremely excitable about everything, whether its the herd moving, finding her brother again or finding a nice place to get something to eat. She never has a frown on her face, never cries and is rarely sad about anything. She refuses to let the world get her down and is great for lifting the mood of other Goeys when they are upset by something. her upbeat attitude may sometimes get annoying but most of the herd will admit she lifts there spirits all the time.

As well as being excitable and happy she is rather a cheeky young Goennec, she likes to play jokes but avoids doing anything that will hurt anyone. She does silly things like pulling down a small branch so it lightly swats her herd mate, or hiding in bushes and leaping out at someone, she has only caused someone to get injured once and deeply regrets it but doesn't allow it to stop her having fun.

- Strong back legs - Her back legs are more muscled than some of the herd and she can make huge leaps.
- Unusual fighting style - She learned most of what she knows from watching horses and so no one expects what she does.

- Small horns - Compared to a male her horns are pitiful and cause issues

Why do you want this Goennec?: I love the color scheme. It stands out to me like a beautiful day near the ocean with that sandy breeze and ocean smell. Also, I love the long fluffy tail; it's always been an eye catcher to me.
How would you use this character?: (Off scene personal fun) Since Goennecs live in the mountains, my fursona would make a great friend to him because she also lives in the mountains, being a snow leopard and all. Lots of art would be drawn of him and with other characters of mine. (Geonnec itself) If I get him, I would like to join the RP. The one I used to be in died long ago, so it would be wonderful to get back into it!

• Why the name Legolas?: Well, I have a thing for elf names and words in general. So, since I find this Geonnec handsome, I decided that this name fit him well since the elf in LotR trilogy name is Legolas and played by Orlando Bloom, which I found to be a stunning man.

  • Explanation: Legolas is a soldier that loves adventure and discovery. His dream is to prove himself that he could be a Prince; worthy of leading others in a time of need and protecting his kind. So instead of waiting around for someone to notice him, he's willing to do something courageous and brave that another Geonnec would not do.

• Personality: Legolas is the type of Geonnec that you want to get to know. He's nice and gentle along with friendly to new comers and young ones. He helps everyone in anyway he can. Seeing others you just need comfort brings him down because he enjoys a happy atmosphere. Though, Legolas will not accept being pushed around for no reason; he will stand his ground and fight for his honor or someone else if they are not being treated fairly. Respect is a big deal to him and if it is not upheld, then he will make sure it is reinforced and minded of. He is a caring guy and just wants the best for all.
• Short Story: It was a chilling day up in the mountains. Dawn was approaching, and everyone else was still asleep. An irritated grumble broke the silence of the fresh air, stirring small animals into scatter or flight. The sound came from further down the cliff, and Legolas was curious to find out what had made such a noise.
  
  As I crept down the mountain side, I could hear rustling of bushes and claw scratches. This worried me. Only animals around here that I know of with claws are not ones you want to go making friends with. I flexed out my muscles and prepared for the worse as I drew closer to my destination, but what I didn't know was that what I came across would change my life forever.
  
  I could tell she was female, it was obvious. Though, there was lots of blood from her wound. Her paw was caught in a trap and it looked difficult to escape. Under her ice blue markings showed a snow leopard coat, but her eyes were different from normal aswell. They were a brillant purple. Next to her, with the sadest expression, was a.. pink tabby. How interesting. I wanted to help, but was scared. As I tired to get a better look, out of all things, I stepped on a twig. The snow leopard looked in my direction with a stern look, then a low growl; guess she got a scent. Well, I revealed myself.
  
  As I came from behind the shrubs, her growl dimmed.
  "Hello" I said shaky. Snort. Wow what a great response from her.
  "Hello, what brings you here?" Her voice was majestic, but dangerous.
  "How badly hurt are you?"
  "I've been here for a while, not really sure, but long enough to get hungry." 'OH GEEZ! If she's hungry I should get out of here' is what went through my mind, but instead I stayed and made myself more comfortable.
  "Is there anything I could help you with?"
  "Not unless you can free me. But I doubt it, this thing is locked on tight."
  "Well I have strong horns and hooves, maybe I could open it just enough." What was I thinking. Talking myself into getting the close to her, especially since she's hungry!
  "You can give it a shot, but I won't get my hopes up." I just stood there. Looking at her, then the trap, then her, then the trap. Could I really do this? No idea, but here I go.

okay, so I noticed no one has been posting in the RP, though quite a few of you are visiting the site. It seems all activity ceased right after I closed the siv-pairing thread and was only really active while it was open. Because of this, there's going to be a new policy about siv babies.
Only members who make an effort to be active in the RP and participate in it in some way will be getting their babies. Also, if someone who didn't happen to catch the pairing thread when it was open, is a productive member of the RP, they might have a chance to earn a baby.
I've been putting off deciding on this for sure, but seeing as no one seems to be making any effort, and I'm starting to feel like I've been taken advantage of for offering free babies, it's really one of the only things I can think of to kickstart the RP again. :/ If you don't want to participate in the RP, you don't have to, but seeing as the babies are supposed to be for the RP, it makes sense that if you're not actually in the RP, you aren't going to be getting one yes?

I know I'm not the most active member myself, I have periods of downtime, but I shouldn't be relied on to carry the RP on my own. You all can very well RP without the Prime for a while.

I did make a thread yesterday in the hopes that those who are not rping find a way to jump back in. Likewise, those who are rping but finding it hard to find a partner can just post saying that anyone is free to jump in on their character. Personally, I love the rp, and I would hate to see it be brought down just because of people who showed interest in the babies and then suddenly fluttered away the second the babies were decided. I am really looking forward to the fights in the Siv, already have a few planned myself, and I would love for everyone to get the chance to have the Siv action with their own characters as well. Unfortunately, for this to happen, we NEED to get to the Siv, something that is only going to happen if the story keeps progressing, and time skips due to inactivity are seriously getting old.
