Welcome to Extermere!
Finally. Ten years of waiting; ten years of idleness, come to fruitation at last. Oh, how you've longed for this moment. It has haunted you all through your waking hours -and even in dreams. A promise, a whisper, a tantalizing breath of air across your ear: Extermere. You are the envy of many a scientist -and you know it.
The ship lands with a juddering thump, almost knocking you off your feet. Grabbing an armchair (bolted to the floor, of course) to steady yourself, you look out of the window, for your first true glimpse of the planet. The only other habitable planet in the known universe -Extermere.
Green. That is the first thing you notice, as you look outside. Green, green, green. Everywhere, every shade. Bright, lurid green. Dark green. Medium green. Spring green. You have to blink -once, twice, thrice- in order to adjust your eyes to the sheer brightness of it. Suddenly, you hear your name being called. Shaking your head in an attempt to clear it, you release your hold on the armchair, and sprint out of the room. Better than gazing at it through the window, will be standing in it. Becoming a part of it. But, you remind yourself, turning a corner, you aren't here as a sightseer. No, you're no tourist. You are a scientist -a biologist, to be precise- and you are here to document and study the flora and fauna of this planet. And, one species in particular. The Diu.
It seems you have found your way to Extermere! Here, you can adopt Diu (pronounced DEE-you), a completely fictional species, created by me (Viszla7). Breed them, customize them, take part in events and competitons! Again, welcome to Extermere. Have fun.
