I walked down the road. My eyes were blank, empty. There was nothing left.

Back at my den, my motionless parents lay. They should've known better. They should've known that I'd evade their abuse eventually. I reached up and touched my blackened eye, my crooked tail, my dented beak. The wounds would heal eventually. My parent's wounds would not. Not now, not ever. I was sure it was better this way.

My siblings. They also were still. But this was their own fault. My sister hadn't belived me when I told her abou her mate-to-be. My brother ignored me when I warned him of the substance he was taking. And now they were gone. My parents were angry. They took out their anger on me. About my sister, my brother, each other, themselves. It was all tossed on my shoulders.

I lost it. I was holding a pebble one minute. My mom was yelling at me on one side. Dad was trying to kick or smack or do whatever he could on the other side. The next moment, the pebble sailed through something glass. I don't know how or why I made it do that, but the glass was everywhere. I seemed to miss every shard, but my parents attracted them. I had stood there, shocked, as my parents hushed and fell over. Their blood stained the floor, and my heart. What had I done? It was an accident... but maybe it was for the better. I dragged them to their room. I washed them and changed their clothes. I put them into their bed, over the covers. They could've been sleeping. I liked the image better. Once I was done with them, I cleaned the stains covering the floor. I grabbed everything that mattered to me. My bear, Dragon. My egg tooth that had fallen out when I was a baby. And a marble. It was the prettiest marble I had ever seen, a bluish green sphere with a heavenly glow. I put it in something similar to a saddlebag and attached it to my waist. And with that, I left.

I continued down the road. It was early morning, maybe two or three. It was dark and misty. I strolled down the street, as if it were no big deal that I was out in the middle of the night. And I disappeared as the fog swallowed me up, never to be seen again in that town.

Meh. I wrote this in a few minutes. ;P I might write something better eventually.
