chapter one
pippsytown sucks. that's all I, Summer Pippa Frowgrohoan, have to say. I mean, what else can I say? and pippsytown really does suck, either that, or i am a magnet for bad luck. my parents are divorced(recently), everyone at school hates me, my best friend has moved to brohghailla( or is it browgaylar?) and i am stuck with an ultra annoying brother and an equally annoying sister. why does life hate me so much?????? it was all my best friend's fault, she yelled out,"pippsytown sucks!", when our school was on a trip to the town hall, and you can imagine why she moved to whatsitcalled after that, the principal was mean to our teachers, our teachers were mean to everybody and everyone was mean to me and my best friend. my dad wanted to move to india, my mum wanted to move to france and they were fighting so much that they left their children with their old granny and moved to where ever they wanted to go.
so. who sucks? my life or pippsytown? both, i believe. they suck so much that i have ran away to graydar, i will live with my cousins and go to a different school- summer p.s. bye granny,little bro and big sis. seeya sometime" Winter read aloud. she put the note back on the fridge. she picked up the phone book and started flicking through it. she found the number she was looking for and began typing numbers into the phone. a voice answered. Winter asked for Summer. the voice went to get Summer.
"umm, greetings?" whimpered Summer.
"when i get my hands on you, you'll be in for it!"sneered Winter.
"i'm guessing you read the note?"asked Summer.
"yep, and i'm ringing to let you know that your former friend moved to Brogadar and because we are moving to a boarding school in Perodine, granny's off to a nursing home and little bother is moving to a lady called Sunshine Raine".
"WHAT?!?!?!?!?" screamed Summer.
Winter ignored this comment.
"see you in Perodine" she said and she hung up.

that is why Summer sat on a train on the way to Perodine,waiting for her stop.

chapter two
Summer walked through the classroom door. it was her first day and she was trying not to muck up. RINGGG! the bell rang and all the seats in the classroom were instantly full. summer saw her teacher, she was talking to a girl at the front of the classroom. ah-ha!, thought summer,I'll just go talk to her, simple!
"yes Lana, we will have a lot of homework this year, just how you like it!" the teacher was saying to the girl.
"yay!" the girl grinned and walked back to her seat. the teacher turned to Summer.
" you must be summer,hmm?, no seats? just take a seat at my desk, now calm yourself, only until we get a seat for you" said the teacher kindly, indicating her desk. summer nodded glumly and sat in the seat. all the kids giggled."teachers pet" one sniggered. summer bit her lip. " by the way, i'm mrs Natash" the teacher said. the class was history and summer fell asleep half way through. she woke in the middle of a maths lesson and realised she had missed recess.Bummer, she thought. with nothing better to do, summer fell asleep again. this time she woke during litreacy and since everyone else was reading, summer pulled out a book she was half way through reading and began to read it.RINGG!the bell rang and the classroom was empty before you could say 'boarding school'. summer hurried off to her room and went to sleep. she dreamt that an evil witch had kidnapped her little brother and was using him as a test for her potions. her brother was screaming and crying, but there was nothing summer could do.summer saw the witch adding poison to her potion.NO! summer screamed. summer sat up in her bed. "nightmare" she muttered to her self. summer suddenly realised she was hungry, very hungry. summer saw the rules board. 'no going out after dark' was one. summer realised what she was going to have to do. she was breaking a rule before she knew the punishment. she would be in the badbooks if she was caught and then the kids would really have something to laugh about. but summer was starving, she just had to eat. summer took a deep breath than walked towards the door. she hesitated. the hallway was dark, very dark. summer rethought her idea.no, she thought,i can't, this is something Katy would do, not me. the thought of her old friend made her stomach wobble, then summer realised it was growling for food. "I have made my decision" she whispered to her self. and she stepped out into the hallway.

chapter 3
summer tiptoed along the hallway. where is the cafeteria?summer wondered. then she saw a window. she peered through the window.she could see a sillouhette. she watched it. it was pale.creepy,summer thought. she huriedly raced along the hallway."where is the cafeteria????????" she wondered out loud as she scrambled along the corridor. but unfourtunetly, someone heard summer and that someone happened to be the headmistress, Mrs Pleiz.she stopped summer in her tracks."YOU!" she barked," you are coming with me, to my office!". in mrs Pleiz's office she questioned summer. " what's your name?"
"summer"
"who's your teacher?"
"mrs Natash"
"why were you out this late?"
"umm, I-"
"YOU?"
Summer's mouth ran dry. noticing her silence, mrs Pleiz spoke.
"I will be speaking to mrs Natash about this"she bellowed, " back to your room!".
summer stumbled back to her room. on the way, she peered through the window. the sillouhette had gone.strangethought summer. and as she walked back to her room she knew she had a mystery to solve.
she ignored everyone at breakfast. and when she went to class she was so ocupied with the mystery that when mrs Natash asked her a question about the life of charles dickens, she didn't hear her. "SUMMER! I asked you if you knew what year charles dickens died in, but perhaps you are not feeling well? would you like to have a break? the nearest drink tap is near the west courtyard window" mrs Natash asked. "Oh, I do need a break" summer replied. summer rushed off to the drink tap. on her way back, summer peered through the window, there in the courtyard was someone spinning around. when she got back, two girls greeted her. " i'm Chelsea and this is Lena" one said, " can we be your friends?"
"certainly" summer answered. so now she had two friends to tackle the mystery with.

chapter 1
just my luck, thought Hannnah as she crossed the street. the bakery runs out of bread, the bookshop runs out of books, the chocolate shop runs out of chocolate, the ice-cream store runs out of ice-cream and the clothes store runs out of clothes. I mean, how do five shops all run out of things on the same day?????? I'll just have to donate my money to a charity or wait for tomorrow and I really wanted to buy something today . what are those 3 girls across the street whispering about? as a detective, I have to think everything suspicous and 3 is a supicous number. hmm, what if the shops were robbed? I'll have to investigate. question the shop keepers and search for clues. hey, i bet those girls know something about the robbery! yes! i am getting off to a good start with this mystery!

across the street, summer, chelsea and lena were talking about their own mystery. chelsea promised to question students and lena said she would ask the teachers. so they were going to get somewhere with their mystery, just as hannah was.

chapter two
hannah pulled out her autobiography. it is time to add something, thought Hannah,[i] one day, It will be a famous best seller, but now it isn't even finnished. lets see hmm... Ah-ha! Hannah questioned the shop keepers over her mystery, hmm but what did they say? okay, i'm going to have to really ask them. hannah asked every shop owner, but they knew nothing, because they hadn't been at the shop yesterday, so hannah was bored and gave in.

meanwhile, summer had recived an answer that no teacher had any idea what Lena had asked them, except, Mrs Moonswirl, who had turned pale when asked.so now summer and Lena were waiting for chelsea to come back with an answer.RINGG! the bell rang and Summer and Lena went to class."Sum, Lene! wait up!" someone yelled. Summer and Lena turned around. it was Winter. and she was very pale. "Winter, you are very... umm.... pale" Summer murmered. now Mrs Treiza, Winter's teacher, walked past. she took one look at Winter then launched herself into her you-look-sick mode." oh, Winter, you certainly look like your name today, maybe take the day easy in your room? perhaps, Summer, your sister? could look after you? oh how nice of you summer" she purred. Lena turned to walk off to class, but before she did, she gave Summer a you-better-tell-me-what-she-says-or-else look. Mrs Treiza turned to a few staring students. "OFF TO CLASS!" she roared. Winter began to explain her story. " I saw Chelsea sneaking out so I followed her, the moon was full. she walked under it. then she disapeared. I walked under it. it began to snow. then I went back to bed."

chapter one
in summer's next nightmare, all she heard was laughing, like a witch. she didn't see anything, she just heard. she woke to lena and winter sitting on the end of her bed, staring at her anxiously. "well?" lena asked. summer tried to stand, but felt dizzy and sat back on her bed. summer knew without thinking much, that this 'sunshine raine' was not taking good care of her brother. suddenly, little white,a girl who Mrs Pleiz had assigned the task of messenger, came in." there is this weather lady here to see you two" she said, pointing at summer and winter. " but, summer can't walk" pleaded lena. little white turned and left the rooom. summer fell asleep. when she woke, sunshine raine stood at her bed. winter sat beside summer and lena was being ushered out the door by mrs pleiz. "please" begged sunshine raine, diverting summer's atention, " do you know where your little brother is? he has been missing for 3 days". summer had an incredably strong hunch on what had happened. "no i don't" winter replied. sunshine turned to summer. summer shook her head. "oh" sunshine said dissapointatly. then she walked to the door sobbing, then she turned and said: "i just thought you might know".then she left.

that night, when summer went to sleep she dreamt that mrs moonswirl was sobbing at the feet of the witch, who summer noticed had a cheap disguise kit on. fake wannabe thought summer. summer saw a statue of chelsea next to the witch. no!, summer thought,it's not a statue, it IS Chelsea!. summer decided she would have to confront mrs moonswirl. the mystery was know longer about a sillohette, although, mrs moonswirl seemed to be in both mysteries, she wasn't helping in any in them.
the next day, summer walked up to mrs moonswirl, but, at the sight of her the teacher walked off sobbing. yikes! thought summer, what is her problem?. the very next day, winter came to summer to say they were going to visit granny. perhaps she will have some good news summer thought gloomily. but perhaps she did.
