Hi! My name is Ally. Here's a picture of me!:
I don't have any pet names, I'm just simply Ally and that's the way I like it. I'm in CSHS, or if you want to be formal, Chicken Smoothie High School. It's just like any other highschool you'd find out there in the world. You've got the nerds, the jocks, the preps, the emo dogs, and the unknown. I guess I fall into the "unknown" catagory. I don't get recognized for math awards, or sports awards. I don't get out and cheer for the beefed-up football dogs, and I don't wear my hair over my eyes. I'm just Ally, and that's the way I like it. Ally, the dog you might have passed in the hall and introduce youreself thinking she's the new kid. Let's not forget I've gone to kindergarden on up with some of these pups. I'm just a normal dog, trying to get through highschool without scars, and to me it seems staying out of the spotlight is the perfect plan. I'm just Ally.

Tomorrow's the new year it seems...My mom says that writing in a journal will help me to keep my new years resolutions, though no one keeps them usually anyway. I suppose writing in here will help me to stop drifting off into my "dream land" as dad calls it. Its not a "dream land" I can tell you, it's more like an over-reactive imagination. An over-reactive imagaination with characters and settings...ok, so maybe I do have a dream land. But where else do I go when I'm on school break and my friends are all with their families? My parents both work full-time as CS pound officers. In other words, they help take care of the animals in the pound and keep the rowdy ones under controll. I suppose I could play with my sister, Star. But all she ever wants to do is play princess and dress up. Sometimes she's so embarassing when my friends are around, but my dad says we are actually alot alike. I don't think so at all, she is always barking about being locked in a tower and needing a prince to come save her. This is where she always wants me to some in. I'm no prince, I'm just Ally.

Jan. 1, Sunday
Hapy new year journal! I hope you had a fun time in the shelf.
Today it snowed quite a bit, about 2 or 3 feet. Star and I went outside a built an igloo. It was kindof mishapen because it's hard to build something without thumbs. We rolled snowballs with our noses and stuck them on top of eachother until it gained a resemblance to an igloo. I went inside the house after making it because my paws were freezing cold. I had some hot cocoa and when I was halfway done the doorbell rang. I looked out of the door's peep hole and saw the cutest dog I had ever seen! I held my breath and opened it. He stood there, his dark fur blowing in the winter wind, his pale green eyes stood out against the snow. I stood there, awestruck by his looks when he began to speak. (I remember every word!)
Cute dog: I'm Aaron and I'm selling some magazines for the pawball team, want any?
Me: he he
Aaron: Mmmhm...well, is there an adult I could talk to?
Me: Not at the moment. Could-could you come back later?
Aaron: Sure, thanks er...
Me: Ally. Just Ally.
Aaron: Ok, see ya around Ally.
And with that my heart was stolen. I can't stop smiling! I can't wait untill he comes back! I'll get a picture of him when he comes

Jan. 2, Monday
School started up again today! I really wish winter break had been longer, but I guess what comes up must go down. This morning I woke up and had a bowl of chicken-o's followed by some toast with butter and cinnomon. The cinnomon reminded me of Christmas, and made me want to be asleep even more, but I but on my back pack and braved the snowy world. The igloo that Star and I built yesturday is still standing strong, though I had expected it to fall down. I got on the bus-the dirty, foul bus-and rode to school, leaving the small igloo behind.
When I got to school, my best friends Soreity and Ember were waiting there for me! Here, I have some pictures at them!
This is Ember, my artistic friend. She's really nice and quiet, though she's loud when we're alone. She always has paint stains on her fur, and usually carries around a pencil or a paintbrush. I've known her since first grade when we were just pups.
And this is Soreity. She may look troublesome, but she's actually very kind. She's really stubborn and defiant, but she's always nice to me and Ember and will stand up for us. She hangs out with the emo/goth group of dogs at school alot, but she is with us alot too.
Anyway, what I've really been wanting to tell you(I'm talking to a book....) is that I saw Aaron today at school! It turns out he just moved here and he is earning some extra chash by selling the pawball team's magazines. I find that makes sense because he's not all beefed up like other pawball players. (By the way, journal, pawball is where dogs in blue and white uniforms push a white ball around the field with their noses and paws and try to make it into the rings that are around the field. It's a huge thing here.) Anyway, Aaron has been hanging around some of the popular dogs here. I hope they don't spoil his already perfect self!
Jan. 3, Tuesday.
You'll never believe wjat happened today!!! Aaron came back to our house and my mom did the best thing a mother could ever do, she invited him in for some hot cocoa!!! HE WAS IN MY HOUSE!!! The cutest dog I've ever seen and he came into my house! Me being a plain old unknown! (Ok, calming down now.) Though now that I think about he was just here for the magazines....Anyway! He cam inside and tossed his head to shake off all of the snow that stuck to it. (Man I loved that....) Then he walked over to where my mom was dishing out the hot drinks, and took some. After that, him and my mom began talking about the magazines and she bought some on cake decorating, since she likes to do it in her free time. I couldn't help but love how Aaron smiled as he talked to my mom. He had respect as well as fantastic looks! Before he left, he turned in the open door and smiled at me.
"Bye Ally," he said.
That was all he needed to say to make my heart melt. I DEFINATELY feel like more then just Ally.
Jan. 4 Wednesday
Happy day again! Today they passed out the pictures that we had taken of us last semester. Among those pictures was a page with every students picture all lined up neatly. Guess who's picture was in it? Aaron's! I cut it out just barely. Now if I can just find the glue...found it!

More good news! The back to school dance is on friday! It's a dance to celebrate getting through the first half of the school year. I hope He asks me to dance!
Jan. 6, Friday
I'm sorry I didn't write yesterday, journal. I was to excited about today that I went to sleep to make the night go by as fast as it could for today to come! Today I got up super early to brush my coat all fancy. I brushed for about an hour untill my fur sparkled! I followed up the brushing with some perfume called "Twilight woods" It smells really good! I got it from Bath and Paw Works.
By now you are probably remebering why I did all of this. I can answer that in just 4 words: Back to School Dance!
When I got to school Soreity and Ember were waiting for me. Ember, being the happy person she is, was also brushed very nicely. Soreity looked the same. I don't think she really cared about the dance. She was still wearing her toe-less gloves and her spiked collar. When the bell rang we all reported to the gym where a few dogs were already standing around. Within five minutes the gym was crowded with dogs and wolves of our age. The music started to play a fast song and Soreity smiled and tapped her paw to the beat and hummed along. Ember looked around her with her tail down and her ears flat. She said something about the crowd and wondered tward the bathroom. I told Soreity I was going to go after her and left her to be with her other group. Ember was in the bathroom staring at herself in the mirror. When I asked her what was wrong she told me it was just because of the large crowd.
"Go have fun, don't let me stop you," she had said with a fake smile.
With that I dragged her out of the bathroom by her sruff and into the noisy gym.
"Let's have some fun together!" I told her. Before long she ha gotten over the crowded space and had begun to sway to the beat of the music. She relly likes all artistic things, and music is one of them.
With Ember happy, I scanned the room looking for Aaron. I found him...but I wasn't happy. He was dancing with the highschool queen, Jewel. Let me tell you right now that she is no gem or anything. She's mean and rude, and selfish....but she's pretty. She's the most popular girl here. I think her popularity is also because she's a pure white wolf, a very naturally beautiful thing in itself. She has pink and purple designs permanantly dyed into her fur, and always wears a feather on her tail.
Anyway, back to Aaron. He was dancing with Jewel like he enjoyed it. My heart sunk to see the same hapiness in Jewel's eyes. However, my own eyes lit up when the song ended. I hurried as fast as my paws would carry me over to Aaron and Jewel. I remember each and every word exactly!
Me: Hey Aaron, want to dance?
Aaron: Sure, Ally.
Jewel: Ew...
I'm glad Jewel didn't give me any trouble. She just walked off and Aaron drew close to me as a slow song started. He swayed left and right and I did the same. I have been in dancing classes before, so I can tell when somone is good at dancing, and thing dog was. As the main line of the chorus came we gracefully padded in a clear circle, then drew close again. Aaron circled me quickly and softly, then I did the same. My heart was beating so hard as I looked into his eyes. Infact, I bet it's still beating hard. With the last line of the song, he drew closer then he ever had, and whispered "You're a good dancer" with that he bowed and padded off to his friends. I was left love-struck. Ember and Soreity had seen the dance and came up to me with excitement.
Ember: Wow!
Me: It was just a dance...
Soreity: It was amazing!
Ember: Wow!
Soreity: And you call yourself 'Just Ally" I don't know about you, but that was more then 'Just Ally' would have done for any dog.
With that, she walked away smiling. She was right aboout one thing. I wouldn't have done that for any dog. If I must say, 'just Ally' is in love....
