Act 2, Scene 6

Postby Samantha5696 » Thu Dec 22, 2011 6:26 pm

Cael hopped off the bus, waiting by the gate for Luke. Daemon stood beside her, obviously amused. Luke was waiting to come off last, hoping not to be noticed by anyone but Cael just had to screw up his plans.
"Come on Luke! Just because your wearing all black today doesn't change a thing! I bet those skinny jeans don't even show off your a**!!" Cael teased, which immediately got a flock of girls to stop and wait, giggling among each other. Cael's smile widened as the second-to-last person stepped off the bus. Luke stepped off the bus, his cheeks slightly pink. His unusual bad-boy appearance made all the girls around him scream and squeal their delights.
Cael opened her mouth to say more but something across the street caught her eye. Well someone. Tall and frightening. And staring strait at her. Cael's eyes widened in fear as his black eyes pierced her and seemed to hold her in her place.
"Black..." Cael barely whispered. She had begun to shiver when suddenly a bus drove between her vision and the other, more frightening, one. When the bus drove out of sight a second later, the figure had dissapeared.
"Cael? Earth to Cael!?" Grace's sharp, but not un-friendly, words came through. Grace touched Cael's arm lightly and gasped, "Cael! Your shivering! What's wrong?"
Cael shook her head and said truthfully, "I-I'm not sure... It seemed like there was a guy, but his eyes were pure black and a few seconds later, he was gone."
Something sparked in Grace's eyes but it dissapeared so quickly that Cael was un-sure if she had even seen it. "Don't worry about it, Cael, I'm sure it was nothing," Grace said with a sweet smile and patted Cael on the back before motioning her to come to class.

>>Grace<<

Grace bit her lip. The only one who had black eyes and could dissapear like that was that bast***, Vesan. If he already scents Cael's change then she must be getting close to becoming whole. And it means that he wants her, and no way in he** was Grace going to let that happen. She continued to curse in her head as she lead Cael into class.
'Uuuuughhhhh I don't know what I'm going to do! That.... that.... thing is going to through a freaking wrench into Cael's change! Jeezez why can't this stuff be quicker?' Grace thought grimly. Grace and Cael headed into class, sitting in two seats behind Luke. Girls were still flocking to the abnormally-black-clad idiot and Grace couldn't understand why. Humans had odd minds. Grace figured that all humans needed to do what her race does when one is considered an adult. Thrown out into the wilderness to fend for oneself, to become stronger and wiser. All human teens had to do was go to school and learn.
They had a whole life-time to learn but they only had about thirty to forty years before their bodies begin to crap out. Of course Grace was older then any one in the classroom, not that none could tell. So she passed all her classes easily, without even thinking about it. All she thought about was what she was going to next. Grace began to chew at her pen, irritated by Vesan's sudden and un-welcomed visit. Grace would have to hire that idiot Luke now even though she had told him to stay away from Cael but Vesan was to big a threat to leave un-noticed.
But during school, with Luke dressed like that, there was no way she would be able to talk to him alone. So she would have to talk to him after school.

TimeSkip: End of School Day

Grace walked down the street to Luke's place. She hated his guts but she couldn't deny the severity of the situation. She knocked on his front door and waited only a moment before his shocked expression met her.
"Don't say a da** word yet," Grace growled and came in, Luke closing the door after her.
"What's this about?" Luke asked cautiously, raising one eyebrow.
"We have a problem and both you and I plus Daemon will have to protect Cael."
Luke's expression became very serious and he asked, "Why?"
"This morning Cael saw a man standing across the street, probably staring at her. She said he had black eyes and vanished in a matter of seconds. And when I laid my hand on her arm she was slightly cold and shivering."
"Vesan," Luke said coldly, deadly.
Grace nodded and continued, "We will each need to protect her which means one of us will need to stay with her at all times."
"Is she alone now?"
"No, Daemon got off with us so I assume he went to her house. And don't you dare complain to me about him being near her."
Luke glared at her but said nothing. Then Grace's phone beeped and she answered with a 'hello'. After a moment her eyes widened and she dropped her phone and turned into her true form. Breaking down the front door, she rushed out of Luke's house and next door to Cael's with Luke right on her heels.
When Grace neared, she turned into her human form, so as not to frighten Cael, and headed inside. Daemon was on his knees trying to comfort Cael, who was on her knees, her head in her hands. When Cael looked up to Grace she cried, "Grace! What's going on?!"
Cael's eyes were glowing a royal blue to match her eyes, her tattoo was glowing the same blue and her hands were turning a light blue. Cael closed her eyes tightly as her hair began to lift from her shoulders and the tips of her hair was beginning to turn a little blue.
"She's changing...." Grace whispered lightly under her breath.

Act 3, Scene 1

>>Cael<<

Cael's skin was on fire and her hands looked as if there was actually fire on her hands. It felt like it was burning, yet it wasn't burning her. It was an odd sensation and Cael didn't like it. After thirty minutes, that seemed like forever to Cael, the burning stopped and she looked up slowly. Cael blinked her vision ever-changing. She breathed deeply and opened her eyes, concentrating on having a normal vision, and when she did open her eyes, her vision was normal. She did the same thing again, this time concentrating on the reds, blues, yellows, oranges, and greens that were in her vision before. When she opened her eyes the colors were there. That's when it hit her.
She was seeing heat. Like those body heat cameras. Cael couldn't help but crack a smile. She transformed her vision back to normal, beginning to get the hang of it, when Grace asked, her voice almost trembling in worry, "Cael? You ok?" Cael, just to see, transformed her vision to heat and looked up at Grace. She gasped, her face completely stunned. This made Cael's smile grow a bit wider, she had to see what it looked like. She stood, wobbly at first, but with the help of Daemon, Luke, and Grace, she headed for the hallway. Unfortunately, with her version only being able to see heat, she ran smack into the wall of the hallway.
"Owww........." Cael muttered and switched back to normal. Behind her, she could hear the chuckles of Daemon and Luke before they grumbled as Grace elbowed them in the gut. Cael then realized that if she couldn't see the wall would she be able to see her eyes in the mirror? 'Doubt it,' Cael thought. But she continued down the hall to the bathroom. When she looked in the mirror, she gave a little gasp. She hadn't changed except that now the tips of her jet black hair had royal blue, the same color of her eyes.
"You ok, Caeli?" Luke asked timidly. Cael looked to the bathroom door and saw all three of her friends almost crammed into the doorway.
"Uhhhhh why are you guys all looking at me like that?" Cael asked with a awkward smile. All of them seemed to relax a little at Cael's normal tone.
"Well, you just changed so we're concerned..." Grace stated, choosing her words carefully.
"I changed? Well duh, that's quite obvious. What I changed into is another thing entirely," Cael said seriously, playing with the tips of her hair, intrigued by their new color.
Grace bit her lip before responding with a sigh, "Elementia."
"What?" Cael asked, confused.
"You are the ninth Elementia to ever exist which means your specialty is fire," Grace answered.
"That would explain the weird heat vision type thing going on..." Cael said aloud, looking back into the mirror.
Daemon snorted, "I'm sorry, what? I didn't see any heat beams coming out of your eyes."
"Ha. Ha. No, you idiot, I mean it's like I'm looking through one of those heat sensor cameras. But I noticed I can't see as far as I could with my vision normal," Cael answered, matter-of-fact-ly. She pulled out her phone, handing it to Grace, and said, "Take a picture of my eyes." Then as Grace got to the camera on the phone Cael changed her sight to see the heat. Once Grace took the picture and gave a thumbs-up. Cael made her sight normal and looked at the picture. Her eyes looked normal but she could just barely make out a faint glow of blue. "Neat," Cael said with a smile. Her smile dissapeared as she asked, "So that other time? When my tattoo was hurting?"
"Yes your mark has to go through two phases before you can transform," Grace answered calmly.
"Two phases?" Cael inquired.
"Yes once was that time in class and you went through the second phase here at your house yesterday," Grace answered.
"Huh? When? I don't remember," Cael said.
She noticed Daemon stiffen before Grace replied, "Yes, after you and Daemon's car accident."
Cael's eyes narrowed down on Daemon, who was rubbing his neck. "You lied to me?!" Cael growled and could feel her palms burning. She stormed through Luke, Grace, and Daemon, heading out the backdoor and into her yard.
"I didn't mean to! He**, I didn't want to! The stupid Chimera made me because she's your flippin' Guardian!" Daemon said, defending himself.
Cael's palms began to engulf themselves in flames as she laughed, "Your such an idiot! Why can't you tell me the truth!?" Flames began to lap up the sides of her arms before Grace stepped forward.
"He's right, I didn't want him to tell you. I made him make you think that you got knocked out when the limb fell when that wasn't what happened," Grace said calmly.
"Then what happened?" Cael growled, turning to Daemon, though the flames on her arms already were beginning to weaken and slip back down to her palms.
Daemon took a deep breath a replied, "When the branch fell, most of the twigs and more dangerous stuff fell on the passenger's side, as you well know. Well you think that knocked you out but actually I kinda leaned over when it happened and actually shielded you from most of the damage. I was the one that got hurt and you were the one that had to get me inside." Cael thought a moment before the memories began to piece themselves back together bit by bit.
Her flame finally dissapeared and she said, her cheeks a little pink, "Fine. So what's all this about a chimera and a guardian of mine?"
"That would be me," Grace said with a smile. Before Cael could say anything, Grace dissapeared in a whirlwind of blue flame and when it dissapeared it revealed a huge snow leopard with wings.
"Wow," Cael responded, mouth agape.
Grace laughed, "I can transform into anything I so choose, but this is my true form I was born with. And Chimera's are assigned to protect very powerful others. One such as being you."
Cael's eyes saddened, "So your only my friend to protect me?"
Grace's eyes widened in shock and sprang forward to Cael's side, slightly leaning against Cael. "No! No, no, no, no, no!" Grace replied, "Yes, it was a job but Chimera's don't have to be nice to those they protect so I am your friend! I promise! Cross my heart and hope to die!"
Cael laughed and said, "I don't want you to die!" Which was they're way of saying, they were normal again. "So what are they?" Cael asked, eyeing Luke and Daemon.
Luke gave a very gentlemen-y bow and said, "I am a Griffin." Then in a swirl of wind Luke transformed into a graceful brown griffin with flecks of white and darker brown. "And I control wind," He added and a gust of wind swept around both he and Cael.
"But I," Daemon said, taking Cael's attention, "am a Demon Wolf." He smiled as he was engulfed by darkness. When the darkness dissapeared, a black wolf with emerald green eyes replaced Daemon. "And I control darkness," he said with a toothy grin and suddenly darkness engulfed Daemon and Cael, making it seem as if it were just the two of them.
"Enough!" Grace's roar interrupted. Daemon's darkness quickly dissapeared and Cael had to blink to remember what was going on. "We have important business to discuss, if you are not to busy," Grace growled.
"Ehhh? Like what?" Cael asked, giving Grace a bored look.
"It's Vesan. He's back and he wants you, Cael," Grace said, a deathly edge to her tone.
"Me? What? Why?" Cael asked frantically. Then she asked shakily, "Is that the guy from this morning?"
Grace nodded, "Yes. Like I told you, you are a Elementia. An Elementia is only born every thousand years or more. Your the fifth one in ALL of history!"
"But what is so special about being this Elementia?" Cael asked.
"You control all the elements," Grace answered.
"You mean fire, water, wind, and earth?" Cael inquired.
"More then that," Grace said and before Cael could ask more, "Ok well how about I go more into detail and we get your training started tomorrow, yes?"
"Training? What about school?" Cael asked.
"Well you'll probably live to be wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy past 100 so you have time to learn that school stuff later. But now that your powers are there you need to learn how to control them. And now that you will need protecting from Vesan, we're going to my house," Grace said and started tugging Cael down the street. "Luke! Daemon! You get Cael's stuff and bring it to my house!"
"WHAT?!? I don't want them going through my stuff!" Cael cried, her face red.
Daemon chuckled, back in his human form. "What? Got something in there you don't want us to see?" Daemon teased.
"YES!!" Cael yipped but Grace tugged her on anyway.

"Gack! Grace! Come on! Why is your house safer then mine?!" Cael complained.
Grace snorted, "You haven't seen it yet, trust me."
Cael huffed, "Yes I have! I've been to your house several times!"
Grace waggled her finger at Cael, "Tsk, tsk, tsk. I thought you might have realized by now that many things are not what they seem, eh?"
Cael raised and eyebrow and wailed, "Buy WHY ON EARTH do those two have to gather, MY things?!"
Grace sighed, "Chick, we have a discussion at hand and they can gather up your room quicker then either of us."
"I doubt that," Cael mumbled, being towed away by Grace again. When they arrived at Grace's house, they went down to the basement and stood facing a brick wall. "Hey Grace.... you do realize this is a wall right?" Cael chuckled.
"Hmm-mmm," Grace answered and waved her hand over the wall. A few seconds ticked by and the wall began to "dissolve" of sorts. But soon the wall had vanished where a steel, grey door now stood and Cael's mouth was left agape.
Grace chuckled and opened the door, tugging Cael in with her.
