Shadepelt
Chapter 1: the gathering

Shadepelt gathered the cats that were going to the gathering.
“Where’s Dawnfur?” Shadepelt asked
“I’m right here!” She puffed.
They touched muzzles and got ready to go.
“Shadepelt! Where’s my deputy I thought we would be gone by now!” Stormstar came out from his cave.
“Don’t mind him he just cranky because he’s on his third life.” Dawnfur assumed.
They were all excited to be off to cats clearing. It had rained the night before so it was a slippery trip. Stormstar halted at the top of the hill leading to cats clearing. He flicked his tail and he was off with his clan behind him. Owlstar of dark clan and Hazlestar of Pineclan were waiting for him on leaders’ rock.
Owlstar let out a startling meow “Let the meeting begin!”
All of the cats turned to here want he had to say. He stepped up in front of the other cats. Then he began to talk in that otherworldly voice of his.
“To start off I would like to announce that Darkclan has had two strong apprentices made protectors” Owlstar let out a grin.
“Their names are Riverfur and Harenose!”
From somewhere in the crowd Shadepelt heard someone whisper, “I thought there was three, so where’s Darktail?” The cat said with curious eyes.
As Owlstar stepped back Shadepelt slipped to the side of the crowd and into the bushes which was easy because his pelt was black. He looked around but couldn’t find anything. He slid back into the crowd as Hazlestar finished. Stormstar stepped up and began to speak. His gaze raked across the clearing, and then he sighed.
“Everything in Cloudclan is running fine. Prey is as plentiful as ever. Two kits were made apprentices Snowpaw and Barkpaw” Stormstar announced.
Dawnfur walked over to Shadepelt and whispered in his ear, “I guess he’s trying not to show how weak he is.”
But Shadepelt wasn’t listening he was staring up at the sky wondering if that strange starry cat that visited him in his dreams would appear again.
A few moments later the meeting came to a close.

Ravenpaw, Shadepelts apprentice came bounding over as they got back and knocked Shadepelt right off his paws.
“What happened? What! What!” Ravenpaw got off.
“Well for an almost protector someone sure is energetic not much happened just the same “Shadepelt heaved Ravenpaw off him.
“Oh sorry I was just excited that’s all.” Ravenpaw finished and walked off.
Iceshard came bounding over to Shadepelt next.
“Hey I just came back from patrol and I thought I should tell you that we saw some short-lives starting fires in Pineclan territory.”
“Thank you Iceshard, I will tell Stormstar about that.”
There was a warm felling in the air as the sun sank into the horizon. All of Shadepelts duties were done. Shadepelt crept tired into his den. As he lay there waiting for sleep to approach he listened to the wind howl though the trees like the wolves at the full moon. His eyelids got heavier the world around him gradually turned to black.








Snowbird

Chapter 2: disaster’s near

“You have to be faster than that Flamepaw a enemy won’t wait for your attack.” Snowbird dodged Flamepaws attack.
“Come on give me something easy I’m just learning!” Flamepaw complained.
“Even though you’re a healer you should still learn some defenses, fine come on lets go at least you learned something.” Snowbird said.
As they padded back to the bramble thicket they listened and watched the wind whistle though the lush green trees of their woodland.
“When we get back get a drink or eat something because tonight is your initiation of being a full healer of Cloudclan.” Snowbird said.
Once they were done they headed towards cats clearing them met Nightflower and Rainwing at the bottom of the hill leading to starry place. They walked for a while then they came to cats clearing. It was a place outside the clans that the healers meet once every new moon. Snowbird leaped from rock to rock up the starry place she was the first cat up there. She took her place on the smooth stone where they sat to grant there apprentices to full medicine cats.
“Flamepaw you have worked hard to serve your clan in all ways possible. I’m so proud of you as if you were my own kit. Flamepaw do you promise to up hold the power of medicine cat once I die?” she waited for his answer.
“Of course I do.”
“Then by the power of the starry cats I give you your full name Flamepaw from this moment on you shall be known as flamepool the starry cats honor your courage and wisdom.”
The medicine cats bowed their heads and came over to congratulate him. Then they settled down in there spots and drifted off to sleep. Snowbird woke in a lush green meadow. The air smelled like the sweet fragrance of flowers. Leo the prophecy giver approached her.
“Snowbird I have a new prophecy for you it says, a great darkness will fall upon a clan one will be lost to eternal flames other with mourn a clans greatest lose………” his voice trailed off at the end.
Everything started to dim around snowbird the meadow faded away to a bleak hill top once more.
“What could this mean!” she thought to herself.
She prodded flamepool awake and they left.

Dawnfur
Chapter 3: Darkclan battle

Shadepelts nest was cold he hadn’t been there all night. He must be out on patrol. She thought. The sunlight was shining through holes in the protectors den since she couldn’t sleep she got up and decided to do some hunting. When she was clear of camp she parted her jaws to taste the air but the smell she got wasn’t prey it was a patrol of Darkclan cats! She dived into the nearest clump of bracken. Her eyes narrowed to slits peering through the bushes for the patrol. The blue gray pelt of Jaytalon, his claws clicked across the stone from where they approached.
“Here kitty kitty, we know your hiding here you can’t hide your sent from us!”
Then what she saw next made her heart stop. The next cat that came out from the bushes was Ashtail in her jaws was a little white bundle of fur.
Whitekit! What was Owlflights kit doing out here! Dawnfur slowly backed up only to feel the soft pelt of Echofeather behind her. Not taking the chance of turning around she bolted though the front of the bush back to camp.
“Get her you fools do I have to do everything!” Jaytalon yelled at the others who turned and followed her.
Before she could get back to camp fear striked her heart as she saw cats lined the lip of the hollow. Sleek black pelts dashed in to the hollow at Owlstars yowl.
“Darkclan strike! claims what is ours!”
This rang in Dawnfur ears as she heard the shocked cries from her clan mates. When she got to the clearing fighting cats were everywhere she looked. Ravenpaw was getting the kit-mothers out of camp while Dawnfur’s apprentice Snowpaw helped the elders. Dawnfur saw Shadepelt lying wounded across the clearing Snowbird was pushing moss against a wound on his back soaked with blood. She gasped in horror around her the lives of her clan mates flashed in her eyes. Bird-eye was battling with Echofeather trying to protect Ravenpaw and the others. Echofeather leaped in the air landing squarely on bird-eyes back sending her to the ground.
“Go I’ll be fine!” She yelled at the others.
At that moment Echofeather ripped her throat open with her wickedly sharp claws. Blood splattered Ravenpaw and Stonefoot as they fled by. Immediately Dawnfur bounded across the clearing and engaged in battle with Echofeather to avenge her clan mate. She snapped at her throat and bit as hard as she could on her tail which sent Echofeather running through the woods. Riverfur surprised her as she dug her claws into Dawnfur’s hind quarters. With a yelp of pain she whipped around and slashed across Riverfurs muzzle. Crimson drops of blood splattered the clearing but Riverfur didn’t let go. She felt her claws dig into her lower back and then released.
Blood welled from her wounds. Riverfurs eyes were wild as she looked into Dawnfur’s as if she was amused with her pain. But that amusement would be short lived cause as Dawnfur regained her balance she lunged for her throat. Her teeth pieced Riverfurs flesh her blood filled Dawnfur’s mouth almost suffocating her. She didn’t let go until Riverfur stopped squirming and lay still.
“Riverfur! No!” The startled gasp came from Owlstar.
His eyes found Dawnfur’s the look he gave her froze her to the spot. All the cats around the hollow stopped fighting.
“You shall regret you ever did this to my daughter.” He hissed though gritted teeth.
The Darkclan cats all began to fade into the shadows as they retreated back to their clan.
A panicked yowl from Owlflight sounded at the top of the clearing.
“Whitekit! Whitekit! Where are you!” she yelled.
Dawnfur approached her and told her that she saw Ashtail carry her away. She looked at her with sad eyes and told her there was nothing they could do. Owlflight huddled her remaining kit around her. A tear rolled down her cheek that night the clan mourned the loss of what could have been the clan’s next leader but no one knows.








Shadepelt
Chapter 4: father from the stars

Shadepelt dreamt that he was running though the darkened woods a cat that looked like him except older and with blue eyes flashed in his mind. Scenes of ongoing battle showed the cat as a ruthless killer. Then the image got smaller until it became the size of a cat and walked up to Shadepelt. It spoke with a deep kind voice.
“Shadepelt remember me.” It spoke, Shadepelt shook his head.
“That’s okay you will soon enough ‘’ the cat brushed his muzzle against his.
The pain the jolted though his body was enough to wake him. He gazed around to find the source of back was his injury from the battle. The high noon sun beamed though the branches but was soon blocked out by someone weaving branches in between them. What’s going on now, he thought.
A group of cats had gathered at high ledge.
“What’s going on?” He asked Iceshard.
“There announcing the new protectors!” She said excitedly.
He tried to look through the clump of cats to see his apprentice and Pinefur’s apprentice Cinderpaw. Stormstar came out a few moments later his gaze silencing the crowd.
“Cats of Cloudclan as most of you know after the battle with Darkclan we lost bird-eye and whitekit a painfull lost which will reward darkclan with the deaths of these two protecters!" stormstar yelled.
Yowls of aggrement and prostest rang out though the crowd. smokefur and cloudwisp didnt waste a moment of hesatation they flung them selves at the darkclan protecters and stlit there thought open witha quick slash of there claws. Shadepelts eyes went wide with fear noticing how brutal there clan cloud realy be. With the death of those two protecters would be the start of the worse war the clansever experinaced.
