"Shut the bloody hell up."
I demanded with a stern voice as I threw myself off the bed and over towards Deek and Rake, yanking Deek up by the mangy skin on her neck and starring her in the eye a good five seconds before slinging her down to the floor.
"I'm done." I said. "I've had enough of you being here. What do you want?"
"Me?" Rake questioned, pointing a bony finger to himself with a confused yet distraught face.
"No Rake! Deek..."
"Hmpt!" She exclaimed making her way towards the window, hopping onto the window seat and staring outside.
"You obviously don't know how to assert yourselves around diplomacy."
"That's the problem... You're definitely N O T a diplomat; nor anything to do with diplomacy! Face it, for the love of all good: Your just an ugly female...dog... if that's what you are! Your so harshly mutated, its hard to tell what species you belong to, and if it wasn't for your pretty voice, we wouldn't be able to tell that you're female." I went off in a storm, waving arms and spitting in Deek's face, as my anger had blinded me from the tears that formed in her eyes.
Me, as an individual, I tried my hardest not to upset anybody; and being the nice guy (if you must) all the time, I had times where I went off in a rage and tried my hardest to hurt and burn anybody or anything that neared me. Anger was definitely an emotion I hardly came across, although things did upset me, not much ticked me in a particular way that sent me off into a cursing rage.
"Well if you wanted to be rude I'd never come."
That's what Deek spoke with tears filling up her huge green eyes before she hopped down and sprinted out the open door to the dark unknown.
Several minutes went by with us just standing there in silence, staring, waiting for her to return and bother us again. Not a word was spoke nor could you hear Tommo's cries or Rake's heavy breathing. The silence was almost sicking.
Rake cut the silence with a deep breath.
"I think you rude to Deek, Ben."
I sighed as I looked down, hand to my forehead, and stood their lent up against the wall.
"We'll need to go find her." I said in another sign, eyeing over to Tommo who peered his pale head out to greet me with a smile, which was returned.
"Yes." Rake rasped, nodding as he picked me up and started out the door.
"What are you doing, put me down! I can walk."
"We get faster; Tommo stay in bed." He said making his way to the African forest putting me onto his shoulders. I wonder how everybody else of the living world saw that.
He walked into the trees, huffing the air and trying to get a scent of where she could have gotten to, and with her scent it shouldn't be hard to find her. I tried to scan tree tops as Rake sniffed the ground, but being it was pitch black, I just sat up there and stared. That when on for what seemed like forever, that occasional tree branch hitting my face, and we ran into a sloth once; but he couldn't give us any pointers. We went down hills and up valleys with tall skinny trees, crossed a tiny creek with smooth tiny pebbles and jumped across a river with huge imposing boulders. The dark African sky was peaceful; and crystal clear. I got oh so distracted while we wandered by the eyes of the past kings, the night wind swirling.
I find the night very inviting; yet traumatizing.
How you ever noticed how most everything bad happens in the dead of the night?
"I found her-" Rake said, as it was a bad thing, and pointed to a large and round tree with branches that seemed to spiral heavenwards, and that's when I smelled her.
It was awful, with a musky scent of raw sewage and an overwhelming aroma of rotting flesh that worsened with each step we took towards the tree. Examining around the tree as the first rays of morning sparkled upon us; we found rotting fishes, dead birds and a abundance of maggots thriving within all the festering carcasses. I gaged.
"Deek?" I called politely as Rake stood flat on his feet and extended his knees and back, standing tall into the spiraling tree. As he raised me up the stench got worse; with indescribable nonsense worst than anything I've ever smelled before that made my stomach turn as if it was a ship in a storm, and loose what little contents I had in my stomach on the tree trunk.
"Who's there?" I heard her snap, as she crawled down from a tree branch; curving and spiraling downward as the branch, taking her curved claws and coming down one step at a time before she reached up and looked me dead in the eye, ears laying flat back.
"What do you want?"
