.:I Was Never Broken:. A Practice Short Story

The girl looked at the boy, her light, milk-white soft skin shivering as a breeze played across her lips, her large, golden eyes closing together, her long black eyelashes meeting like a butterfly kiss. A dusting of rose had seemed to have fallen upon her cheeks, lighting her face. Her small, narrow hand clutched the edge of her black leather coat closer to her, the white lining brushing up against her small defined chin. The jacket hung loosely around her as her pale silken hair whisper in the wind, the edges of her short white dress fluttering beneath the edge of the long jacket. It chilled her smooth, slim long legs and she crossed her narrow feet, trying to shuffle away the cold. She opened her eyes and looked at him. "An I pretty?"she asked, her voice warbling and sing-song. "No,"he answered, lips quivering as he buried his hands in his black pants' pockets. She bit her lower lip. "Do you like me?" Again the cold answer hit her, as Sharp as the breeze. "No."the boy's midnight hair covered his eyes, and he gazed down at his Orange shirt, a dark stripe running across it, and s dark green and tan scarf shielding his neck from the winter's bite. Het voice wavered. "Do you want to be with me, forever?"she forced the question out into the crisp air. "No." Unable to hear more, the firm turned to run, one hand flying up to her face, perhaps to catch the drops if her sorrow, streaming down her face in liquid crystal. He grabbed her fragile hand in his own, his grip warm, and she turned to look into his warming, soft green eyes. "You're not pretty, you're beautiful. I don't like you, I love you. I don't want to be with you forever, I need to be with you forever."and he pulled her into his caress. They stood there, the girl sobbing quiet with joy, and their love shielded them from the cold.
