Nanu followed her brother. He had led her to this forest soon after the fire. The fire that killed their mom,dad, and sister in a camp they were too young to remember. She called to him. "Do you even know where your going?" Jayku looked back at her. "Of course. Cant you smell the cats?" His green eye brimming with gentle pride. "We've been following that scent for days." Nanu sat. Her white fur was speckled with small gray spots, like a blizzard. Jayku looked into her ice-blue eyes. "Do you have to be so stubburn? Besides, were getting close." Nanu shook her head. His fur was black, with a white tail-tip. It was a wonderful contrast to his mis-matched eyes. She stood and began to follow him again.

Jayku approached what was the Demonist's camp. Nanu looked around all the cats had one red eye and an eye of another color. Jayku was immediatly accepted, but they said Nanu had to go to the Runecat's camp. When she got there, everyone had eyes that matched. She walked to a tree and sat. A cat named Skye padded up to her. They shared histories, and became friends. Nanu didnt tell her that her brother had lived. And when she did, Skye ran back to camp, crying.

Nanu cried as she padded toward the border. Jayku bounded over to her. she looked at him with the eyes of the kit she was during the fire. "i want to go home!" Jayku looked at her with sorrow in his eyes. "we cant go back, you know that. our home is gone." she glared at him. "anywhere is home!! anywhere where we're not seperated!! i dont care if your different! we're family!!!" and with that she wept. Jayku made a snowflake land on her nose. he pressed next to her to comfert his sister.

Nanu composed herself. she went back to camp. she saw Haru padding hurridly to the nursery. she went inside, to help calm the queen. Tsuname came in soon after that. Nanu looked at the both of them. "are you the father?" she asked Tsuname.

Jayku watched her go. then he thought of the new cat, Blaze. he could sense an inner evil, but who was he to judge? Nanu knew that her mom was a demonist, and that her father had no powers at all. but what she didnt know, was Jayku's best kept secret. another cat in camp found out about their powers. he had been the one to set the fire. Jaku thought of his sister, the one that died i that fire. she had been like their father, innocent, with absolutly no power. why did they have to die? he thought disparinly. he padded back to camp, and , without looking at Blaze, slid into the warriors den.

Blaze stepped in and took over Jayku's mind. in the back of his mind, jayku thought about Nanu...
Nanu sensed it. she ran to his aid. She saw Blaze. 'he's cute.' she thought. Blaze took over her mind as well. Nanu's mind went alittle fuzzy. 'this must be the new cat. i wonder what hes doing.' she wondered.
