Greenie's Corner

Postby greysilence » Sun Sep 11, 2011 3:47 am

Why, hello there! ^^ You're probably wondering where you are. Well, this place is called Greenie's Corner. I am .Green.Eyes.<3, but you can just call me Green, Green Eyes, Greenie, or pretty much anything if ya like. ;P So, this little place here is where I write stories. I am constantly editing them though. So you might see one story up, but then the next day it will be the same story just better, and then the third day as good as it gets! Or you might see me edit them gradually over time. Whatever the pace may be, it will be there. I will never post a story and then just leave it. I do have some rules you must follow though.

Rules
1-
Stay on topic. I don't want this getting locked after all of my hard work. You may talk about the stories, or suggest ideas for new ones. But don't start randomly talking about cupcakes though, because that wouldn't make any sense.
2-No spamming or advertising! A post with just a smiley face is considered spam, and I will report any/all spam. I don't want advertising here either. That's what your signature is for.
3-Do not flip out on me and tell me my stories are horrible, you'd rather stick pins in your eyes then read them, etc. If you don't like them, silently leave. I do accept polite suggestions and advice, but I don't accept cruel behavior here.
4-Unfortunately, yes, there is a blacklist. You get one warning. If I have to say something to you again, then you will be put on the blacklist. That means you cannot post here anymore and you will be on my foe list.
5-Dnt typ lk dis or this. They are both extremely hard to read. Type correctly, or don't post. Type in a size that is legible, or don't post.
6-Do NOT under any circumstances take credit for my work. I will report you immediately and make sure you are severely punished.
7-I will add more if neccassary. Hopefully it won't be, but you never know.

Now that those are outta the way, let's get to the good stuff! :D

Mascot
Image
Name: Seth
Meaning: Form of the Greek Set, possibly meaning "one who dazzles." In Mythology, this is the name of an ancient evil god of chaos and storms.
Personality: Seth is dark and twisted. He's cruel and merciless. He often gives me most of my darker ideas. ^^

Banners and Stamps
None yet. I will get some eventually though! ;3

ONE LESS LONELY VAMPIRE

Chapter 1 The Stranger

It was a cold night when it happened. A frightened Elizabeth woke up with a sudden jolt, and she looked around her room. When she realised she was the only one there, she sighed. She could have sworn she felt a cold, but soft hand tenderly caress her cheek. "Oh well," she muttered. "It must have been a bad dream.
♦ ♦ ♦
Three nights passed, and she felt it again. Now she knew she wasn't dreaming.
♦ ♦ ♦
It was now Friday. She expected her strange, unkown guest to follow his same little pattern. She didn't know how, but she was certain her visitor was a man. She decided to stay up to meet him. Around 12:00 AM, she felt the hand. She awoke and found out she was alone.....again. She then realised she must have fallen asleep. She didn't have long to be disappointed with herself though, because she heard something, or someone, on the roof. She scrambled out of bed and looked out her window. The cool night air rushed in, making her shiver. The only things that greeted Elizabeth were dead silence, twinkling stars, and tha pale sad face of the moon smiling back at her. She shut her window tightly and crawled back in. She was unconscience once more in seconds.
♦ ♦ ♦
It was Monday three days later, and Elizabeth was determined not to fall asleep again. Before bed she drank at least a gallon of coffee and Mt. Dew and ate handfuls of candy. She knew she would later have a stomach ache, but it was worth it.
♦ ♦ ♦
She was proud of herself that she had stayed up all night, but frustrated that her friend-she thought of him as a friend now, considering he never harmed her-never appeared. She wondered why, and she figured he only came when she was asleep.
♦ ♦ ♦
Thursday she woke at just the right time. He-so she correct, it was a male-jumped back with surprise, and he fell down to a sitting position. He quickly recovered though. He gracefully got up, and almost cat-like, he sauntered to the end of her bed where he lightly sat down. He looked maybe about seventeen, just like herself. She rubbed her eyes and blinked several times to make sure she wasn't hullucinating.
"Hello," he said. "My name's Damon."
His voice is so soothing. she thought. Then Elizabeth politely said hello back in a daze. It obviously didn't show though because Damon's expression never changed. In a surprisingly steady voice, she started asking a million questions.
"Why do you keep touching me at night? And why every three nights? And how come-"
"Wow," Damon interrupted. "You ask a lot of questions. Are we playing 20 Questions or something?"
That's when she noticed his eyes were red, so blood red, and his skin was ghostly pale. It all made since now, like a giant puzzle piece had fallen from the sky and the puzzle was now complete. She knew what he was. She thought-no she screamed-inside her head...

Chapter 2 The Truth

Vampire. A vampire has been comping in my room, and I didn't even know it until now. Everything made since. He only visited at night, he had blood red eyes, he was graceful and cat like, and his skin was ghostly pale. But two things weren't explained.
Damon noticed the emotions change on Elizabeth's face: recognition, horror, confusion, fright...and then nothing. "You know what I am," he stated so clearly, that it couldn't have been a question. Elizabeth slowly nodded.
"Then say it."
Elizabeth shook her head. He could tell she was uncomfortable. "I'm a vampire, and I assume you have questions." He watched as Elizabeth nodded.
"How many?" he asked boredly.
"Just two. Why do you only come every three nights?" she questioned.
"Because I'm always...busy. Next question."
"Why do you visit me, when there's a million other girls in the world?" Damon wasn't expecting that, and she could tell. She watched as he quickly recovered though.
"No reason in particular. And besides, how do you know I don't visit them?"
"You're hiding something from me."
"If that's what floats your boat, then sure." He flashed her a grin, and she became light headed.
Wow, even though he's creepy, there's so many stunning things about him, she thought.
"I gotta go," he said quickly after he saw the time on her dresser clock. He sprang to his feet and dashed to the window. She was going to ask him if she would ever see him again, but instead she just blurted out bye. Before she could even blink, he was gone. She heard a barely audible thud, and she scrambled out of bed to the window and looked out. It was pitch black outside. There was no moon or stars out. She couldn't see a thing. With a sigh she crawled back under her covers. Closing her eyes, she was asleep in seconds.

Chapter 4 The Return

It was May 27, the night of the most popular dance at Athena Highschool. Elizabeth was in her dress, hair up nice and neat, makeup on, and she was looking at herself in the mirror. She was the queen of the school, no one could take that away from her. She smiled, noticing how beautiful she was. She wondered just how many people would compliment her or want to hang out with her. Her window flew open suddenly, and she jumped. On her bed, Damon sat wearing all black, just like the first time she saw him. Shegasped, and then frowned.
"Why are you here? hy did you just leave all of a sudden?" she exploded.
"Why everytime you see me, you start up with 20 Questions?"
"I want answers!"
"How bad?"
"Just shut up and get out of my room! I don't ever want to see you again!"
"Aw...you got all prettied up for me, and now you're already ushering me out the door?"
"I have a dance, and if you don't leave I'm going to be late."
"I have an idea. You can take me to the dance, and I'll be your date."
"Haha, very funny. No. People would catch on just as quick as I did. Besides, I have a boyfriend."
"Oh really? Well, I would love to meet this lucky guy. Tell me about him."
"What do you want?! Why did you come back? What do I have to do to get you to go away and never come back?" She was frustrated now. She was confused too. She didn't want him to ever leave her again; she wanted him to stay and never leave her side. She wanted to be Queen of Athena Highschool, and she wanted him to be her king. But yet, all of that had come out of her mouth, and she had had no control over it.

Chapter 5 Dance

"Well, I guess I'll leave so you don't miss your dance," Damon said.
"Wait...don't go. I was being rude. It's fine, I don't really care about the dance that much. You should come, just...do you have some colored contacts or something so no one can see your eyes? Because they give you away the most," Elizabeth replied. What am I doing? I can't invite a vampire to the dance! He'll kill everybody! And everyone's going to be there looking their best and then he'll meet Jesse and make everyone his minions! her mind screamed. She was cool and relaxed on the outside though. She looked up at him through her eyelashes, waiting for him to answer.
"Well, I'm sure I could get dressed up, run to the sotre, get some contacts, and make it back here in time for the dance. I mean, if you don't mind," he said.
She blushed, wondering if he had already forgotten about her having a boyfriend. "Did you...?" she started, but she let the question trail off. She decided it was better to not bring up Jesse.
"Did I what?" he persuaded. She looked up at him, and her breath stopped. Boy is smile is stunning...what am I saying? Jesse's is way better. He's way better than Damon, in more ways than one too, she thought to herself. "Would you stop doing that?" Elizabeth asked.
"Stop doing what?" Damon replied calmly.
"You know what you're doing! I'm not stupid!"
"Well, I can't stop doing whatever, because I'm not doing anything."
"If you have to come to the dance, then hurry up! I don't have time to wait for you to dilly-dally!" Elizabeth blinked, and Damon was gone. She went back to her mirror and frowned. Something was missing. She decided the outfit needed earrings. She walked to her dresser, picked up her favorite pair, then walked back to her mirror. Putting them in, she sighed. She put on her heels and looked at the clock, seeing the numbers blink that it was 6:30. She had a half hour to get to the dance, and Damon still wasn't back. Grunting, she picked up a pad of paper and a pen. In her neat writing, she quickly scrolled:

Damon,
You weren't back yet; Jesse was at the door. I didn't want to be late, so I left. If you want to get there, here's the directions:
Turn left on Sycamore Street
Turn right on the third turn
Then follow the road straight
When you get to the stop sign, turn left
Follow the road, you can't miss the school

After she wrote the note and she was satisfied, she walked down stairs to answer the door just as the doorbell rang. Opening it, and after seeing it was Jesse, she smiled.
"I've been waiting for you! What took you so long?" he asked.
Elizabeth rolled her eyes. "I had an unexpected guest come, and it took me off guard."
"Well, that's fine as long as we're together now," he murmured.
She looked up into his big brown eyes and smiled. She kissed him gently. "We're so lucky my parents will be gone in Hawaii for a couple of months," she whispered against his lips. She took his hand and pulled him to the car.

A half hour later, they were there. "Thank you," Elizabeth told Jesse politely as he opened up her car door. Intertwining her fingers in his, they headed to the door. Instantly everyone swarmed them.
"Hey, you made it!"
"Oh my gosh! Your dress looks great!"
"Hey, Elizabeth! You look amazing!"
She replied to the usual greetings. She gave her best smile and looked at Jesse. She could tell he was overwhelmed. He was still taking time to get used to being popular. "You're fine, just don't overreact," Elizabeth told him reassuringly. She continued to the dance floor and stopped.
"Excuse me," she told everyone. She walked quickly over to the punch bowl. "I didn't thikn you'd come," she whispered.
"You invited me, and I didn't want to be rude and not show up," he smiled at her.
Elizabeth looked at Damon, and she felt her heart skip a couple beats. He was still in all black, but he was at least dressier. And even when he walked like a normal human and didn't smoothly glide everywhere, he was still inhumanly beautiful. She looked at his eyes, and insteadof the usual blood red they were an extremely light blue.
"Wow," she muttered, barely audible.
"Well I was hoping to get some good reactions," he chuckled. "So, are you going to introduce me to your boyfriend or not?"

Running With the Wild

Chapter 1

Alli nodded to the man, handed over the wad of money, and grasped the slabs of raw meet. She ignored his curious stare and took off, clutching the meat in her hand as tight as possible. She took the long route, not wanting anyone to follow her. Ducking under branches and leaping over fallen trunks, she panted as she ran. Finally she stopped, approaching the familiar clearing. She rolled her eyes when she heard a growl. "Shush, Zimba," she commanded. Smiling, she patted the large male wolf's head. She dropped a chunk of meat for the wolf and watched as he gobbled it up.
She rose to her feet, looking for the other wolves. Her eyebrows knitted together when she realised they weren't in the large den. She shoved Zimba's cold nose out from under her hand and walked around to the back of the den. She saw no wolves, so she peered to the top. She saw Adele, Zimba's mate, and she clambered up there with the female. Tearing the meat, she tossed a piece to the wolf. She didn't even wait to watch her eat it, she just jumped down and looked for the other three wolves.
Wandering through the forest, Alli spotted them snarling at some branches. She looked up, seeing a squirrel perched on a branch. She knew the loud chattering coming from the furry animal was what was making the wolves get riled up. "Come," she said, and she walked to the den with the reluctant wolves at her heels. A slab of meat was given to them, and she sunk to her knees, her fingers combing through Zimba's matted fur. "I'm gonna run out of money soon, ya know," she told the male, staring into his amber eyes. And it was true. She really was going to run out of money soon. Feeding the pack was expensive, but in order to keep them calm and quiet she had to continue on. They had raised her, and now it was her turn to take care of them.
Giving the muscular, grey wolf one last pat, she stood once more. She threw the rest of the meat on the ground for them to fight over, and she walked away. Her ears picked up the sound of twigs snapping, and she turned to see her second favorite wolf, Bayu. A smile tugged at the corners of her mouth, and she knelt down to ruffle the small brown wolf's pelt. "I gotta go. I have to get money. But I'll be back, I promise," she told the young male. She scratched him under the chin for a second longer, then clucked her tongue, telling him to go back to the den. When he finally obeyed, she got to her feet and started walking again, heading back towards town.

Chapter 2

Whistling quietly, Alli made her way over the twigs and through the trees back to twon. She moved quickly, with skill, to a fountain. Glancing around, she saw no one. Water splashed as she sprinted through the cold, knee-deep fountain. She sighed, knowing it would have to do. Running along, she found her next destination: the donation box. Everyone always put free clothes there, and she took a pair every day. Today she selected a dark green shirt, a perfect fit, and some blue jeans. The jeans were a little too long, but they would be okay. Running into a bathroom, she raked her fingers through her straight brown hair. It didn't look the best, but it would have to work. She set off at a sprint, heading to the mall.
The wind blew at her face, trying to force her back to the woods, but her determination kept her going. Her lungs were heaving, and her breaths came in short rapid gasps. A tingling began in her legs, and she slowed her pace to a walk. When she arrived, she glance up at the TV, watching the news. When nothing appeared about a strange girl and a pack of wolves, she let out a small sigh of relief. Calming herself, reassuring herself that everything was okay, she started walking again. Glancing at windows full of things she would never be able to buy, she held in a groan. From taking care of the wolves, she would never get enough money. Eventually she would have to learn how to hunt, and then hunt for them.
She took a left and entered a small store. Keeping her head down, Alli made her way to the back. She quickly slipped on the smallest uniform they could manage for her, and headed to the back of the check out. Eyes looking at the clock, she saw she had just made it in time for her shift. Safe. For another day, she reminded herself. Sooner or later, she knew that things wouldn't work out. That things wouldn't be okay. But for now, she had to focus on work and not getting fired. She was fortunate that she had been hired, and she couldn't waste this oppurtunity. Only the age of 15, not many stores would hire her. This little shop had taken a chance, and it only payed a small price a couple times. She grimaced at the thought, and she forced herself to pay attention to the people wandering through the aisles.

You'd Never Guess

You'd Never Guess

Chapter 1 Elise

Elise jumped swiftly, running at a good pace. She had to stay at this pace, or they would know her secret. The air whistled in and out of her lungs, although she knew that wasn't necassary. A though popping into her head, she gave a smile and didn't look back. She dragged her right foot, making it look like an accident, and tripped. Three seconds later she felt a hand on her shoulder. "You're it," Eliot cheered, and his face popped into her view. She gave a quick grin, hauling herself off the ground. Brushing the grass off of her clothes, she let him get a head start. He can never know. It would hurt him, she thought sadly. Forcing a grin onto her face, she raced after him.

Elise sighed, wishing that memory of that childhood day hadn't clouded her thoughts. It was painful when she would leaf through her memories and end up with one involving Eliot. Sitting up on her bed, she looked down at her scuffed converse. She was getting tired of this act quickly. With a groan, she got off her bed, picked up her bag, and made her way to school.
As she stepped out of the house, the wind furiously blew her hair. Blonde curls whipped her face, but she continued onward. "I know, I'm a bad person," she muttered to the wind, tears pricking at her eyes. She blinked them away, shoving her hands in her pockets as she walked. She took a right, heading to the cafe. She had to stop for her regular donut and coffee order to go, even though she would always throw it away once she got out of the little restuarant's sight.
The bell jingled, letting everyone in the Crazy Cafe know she had walked through the door and had arrived. She turned her eyes, currently green, to the ground and walked up to the counter. She peeled her eyes up from the ground and to the man standing behind the counter. He had a chiseled jaw, with curly dark brown hair. His eyes where the same hue. "The usual," she said quietly, letting a soft smile light up her face.
"You got it," Enrique replied, giving her a wink before turning and walking away to get her order. Elise rolled her eyes playfully, watching his movements with a careful eye. She looked down at the donut that was wrapped then placed in front of her. Taking her hands out of her pockets, she handed him $5.75. "Thanks," she said, taking the steaming cup of coffee in one hand and the donut in the other.
She continued her walk, uneager to arrive at school. She made several stops, one to give the coffee to a homeless guy, and another to tear and toss the donut on the ground for the birds to eat. When at last she arrived at school, her breath stopped. A very cute, familar boy stood on the steps. His black hair was cut short, and she couldn't see his eyes. She knew though that they matched the deep blue plaid shirt he was wearing though. It just can't be him. After all this time..., she thought, her eyes curiously watching the human.

Chapter 2 Eliot

Eliot yawned, punching the snooze button on his alarm clock. The open window blew cold, crisp air in, making him shiver. He pulled a shirt on over his head as he walked over to the window to shut it. Once the window was shut, he put his arms aboce his head, stretching. He looked down at the shirt he had put on. It was a deep blue plaid shirt, only slightly wrinkled. With a shrug, he walked to the bathroom.
