Megan Winters is a seven year old girl who lives with her mother Angie Winters. Her father was killed before she was born so she never knew him. Her father left her mother his home security company founded when he was twenty-one. Angie is very protective of her daughter so she never let's her go outside and home school's her. But when Angie leaves for a half year trip to Europe, Megan runs into trouble with an unlikely foe. A good friend of Angie's. It's up to her to stop him and find out what he's up to with the help of her Uncle Bruce Wayne and his good friend Robin.
Chapter 1:
"Megan! Are you sure you have everything?" Angie Winters called to her daughter. "Yes ma'am." Megan pulled her bag behind her. "Good. If you get scared or miss me just give me a call. Okay?" Her mother's voive filled with worry. "I'll be fine Mama. I'm going to Uncle Bruce's mansion for the summer!" Megan was very excited about spending the summer with her uncle while her mother went to Europe for an important meeting. Her mother was the owner of Winter Works. A home sercurity system that millions of people across the world depended on for protection. "Alright. I'm sorry I can't bring you with me. I just won't be able to keep an eye on you." "I understand Mama." Megan smiled. "Aruther. Bring the car around, please." An old man dressed in a suit slightly bowed to Angie. "Yes Mistress Winters." He turned and walked away. "Remember. Bruce will pick you up at Dr. Spanial's office after he's done with his conferance." "I know Mama. You don't have to worry about anything." Megan smiled at her once again. She loved her Uncle Bruce even though they weren't really related. Him and her mom had been friends for a long time. Angie sighed. "I'm just worried is all." Angie and Megan walked out to the car. Aruther opened the door for Megan and Angie then got into the driver's seat.
An hour later, they were at the Animal Clinic of Gothem City. Angie told Aruther to wait in the car as she walked Megan into the clinic. "Well hello there, Angie! It's been far too long!" The doctor walked up to Angie and shook her hand. "Ben. It's great to see you! Thank you so much for doing this for me." "No problem." He smiled at her. "Remember, Bruce will be here around nine o'clock. Take good care of Megan." "Don't worry. I'll treat her as if she's my own." He took Megan's bag and brought it behind the counter. Anige knelt down so she was eye level with Megan. "I want you to be a good girl for your Uncle Bruce and Dr. Spanial, alright?" "Yes ma'am." Megan nodded. "I love you very much." "I love you too, Mama." Angie hugged her child before she left for the door. "Call me as soon as Bruce comes to pick her up." Angie called to Dr. Spanial. "Of course." The doctor waved good-bye as she went out the door.
Megan sat behind the counter and colored in her coloring book. Dr. Spanial looked at the time and grabbed his lab coat. "Megan. I'll be in the back. Do not go back there. Just call me if there's a problem." Megan looked at the doctor, confused, but nodded her head. Dr. Spanial walked into a back room and didn't come back out. A storm was coming and Megan was terrified of lighting and thunder. "D-d-d-dr. Spanial?" Megan called shakily. A sudden boom of thunder caused her to run down the hall and into the back room. "Dr. Spanial? Are you in here?" Megan called once again. She noticed a dark figure behing a different door. "Yeah I got it. Don't worry. This plan cannot go wrong." Was that the doctor? It didn't sound like him... Megan thought. She listened. "This plan of your's better not fail Spanial. I lost a lot of my best men to get the stuff you needed." The new voice sounded mad. "Don't worry about it. No one knows what I'm up to. And with these DNA strands, I can make the ultimate weapon!" The doctor laughed at this. A weapon? What is Dr. Spanial talking about? There was a click as the door opened. Megan ran under a table and hid. She watched the doctor cross the room to a cage. Awwww. Look at the puppy! Megan almost squeeled when she saw a cute little golden retriver puppy locked in a cage. He looks scared... Megan watched as the doctor pulled out a shot. "With this MM-15. I can turn you into the strongest creature on this planet!" The puppy quivered as the doctor took him out and placed him on a table. He tried to jump off but the doctor put a chain on him that was attatched to the table. "Oh. I almost forgot something." The doctor turned and went into the back room once again. Megan crawled from underneath the table and over to the other table with the puppy. She kept an eye on the door for the doctor. I don't know what Dr. Spanial is up to but I know it's not right. She took the chain off of the puppy and grabbed the shot. Suddenly, Megan was jerked into the air by her arm. "Ow!" The doctor glared at her. "What do you think you're Winters?" He growled.
