(This is just me writing some of my book. I want to see if it is well liked. If people don't like this i'll stop posting about it. If you like it, or don't, message me and let me know. I want your opinions, whether they are good or bad.)

Anne turned up the volume on the car radio as On Course started playing. She had one hand on the wheel and the other out the window. She had her long brown hair in a ponytail because her window was down. Her stunning blue eyes misted over as the song reached the chorus. Anne read the sign saying she had arrived in the little town Endshob. She smiled and slowed down to the speed limit. "I can't believe it's been this long." That movie theatre used to be dance club. The Pokemon theme song ringtone started playing on her phone. She turned off the radio and put the phone on speaker.
"Hello?"
"Allo mon amour!" A man with a heavy french accent answered.
"Hello Christophe. How are things?" Lillith rolled up her window.
"Very well. I just got off work and wanted to let you know I turned in my notice. I'll be on the flight to America next week."
"That's great honey! I can't wait to see you again."
"Anne, have you arrived yet?"
"Well i'm in the town Endshob, but i've not seen the house yet. If I remember correctly i'll have to drive through the town and another ten miles before I get to the road."
"Well ma cherie, be safe. Je t'aime."
"Je t'aime. Salut."
"Salut." Anne hung up the phone and turned the radio back on. Je Cours started up...

Anne pulled into a little diner and turned off the car. She sat there for a few minutes. 'Will anyone remember what happened? What will happen if they do?' Anne walked into the diner and sat at the bar.
"What can I get for you?" The waitress was a bottle blonde with big hair and a sassy attitude. Anne could tell from her body language that she doesn't take crap.
"I'll just take a coffee and some ham if you don't mind." Anne smiled kindly and as the waitress left looked at her hands. She took out the letter again.
Dear Ms. Palmer,
This letter is to inform you of the estate that has been left to you.
Please hurry to the destination listed. If for some reason you do not
wish to keep the mansion and surrounding acres; we will work something
out.
Sincerly,
The Federal Bureau.

Anne put the letter away. 'I had wondered about that mansion.' The waitress brought the coffee and ham, then she walked away. Anne sipped her coffee. "Some things never change." She rapped her fingers on the table and cut up her ham. Her phone started ringing. She answered it quickly because people were starting to stare. "Hello?"
"Darling, I just wanted to say I love you before getting on the plane."
"That was sweet of you. I love you too baby."

Anne could hear the noises of the airport in the background. "I can't wait to see you again Christophe."
"Same here Annie. I better go now, the plane is loading."
"Alright, I'll see you when you get here then." Anne hung up again. She finished eating her ham and drinking her coffee. She got her check and paid, leaving a ten dollar tip. Anne grabbed her purse and left the little diner. She sighed getting back into her car.
"Anne come on!" little Jacob was running ahead of Anne.
"Brother! Wait!" Anne couldn't keep up. He was leaving her behind. He ran into the house and Anne tripped and fell. She scraped her knee and started to cry. "I can't keep up brother," she sobbed.
"It's alright sis." Jacob helped up his sister and hugged her. "I'm sorry."

Anne was still crying, so her brother lifted her up. He carried her into the house and put her in a chair in the kitchen. He nursed her wound and kissed her forehead."Thank you Jacob." He used to be so loving and caring.
