Here it is :3 the start of my story!
Prologue 

It was a cold day. There wasn't a sound except for the slow, soft footfalls of a girl. She searched the front garden with her sky blue eyes, her flowing silky blonde hair hidden in the tall heather surrounding the broken home. A dog was at her side, his little shaggy body shaking with obvious excitement.

The girl lay an icy hand on the r dogs matted head, then she rose up out of the safe camouflage of the heather. At the same time a dark haired boy with green eyes, the complete opposite of the girl, moved out of a crouch and into a standing position,
"Ah, Lily Ice-Heart! How nice to see you here." the boy greeted lily like a friend, lily scowled at him ,
"What do you want Tom?" she hissed, her blue eyes cold
"Why, I am here to take back what is rightfully mine." Tom's deep British accent was high pitched with pretend confusion. A golden brown ferret sitting on his shoulder squeaked in agreement. Lily's dog, scratch, leaped into her arms and growled at the ferret.
"The Broken-Base is not yours! The Ice-Hearts control it!" lily growled like her dog. Tom smiled calmly, 
"Not for long my dear friend" the ferret started squeaking again "The Rats will have it back!" As he said this, more kids appeared from the grass behind him, he chuckled as Lily's side rose up as well. It was a challenge, Lily screeched, 
"ICE-HEARTS! ATTACK!"

Chapter 1

Lily woke up in a daze, her head was pounding and she had a cut on her arm, sitting up slowly, she remembered the night before. The ice-hearts had lost a battle against those dirty rats, Lily had no idea why Tom had decided to call themselves Rats, it seemed pretty dumb to her. She looked around the small shack they had to take shelter in while fleeing the battle, Edd was sitting next to Chase, who had a bad cut on his cheek, their guardians sat further over, both looking grim. Lily turned her attention to Scratch, he was lying on his side, with bleeding paws, she bit back a cry, her guardian looked up at her, his eyes filled with pain, she stroked him gently "Oh Scratch, we lost the battle, I can't believe we lost..." she trailed off.

Turtle sat outside, her arms were folded. Her jack russel Texta was sitting close. His ears spiraled backwards as he heard footsteps approach, he growled softly. Turtle looked up to see Elli, her eyes were tired and she had a limp in her step, "Hey Turtle, wazzup?" she said quietly as she sat down next to Turtle. Turtle looked at Elli, 
"Those damned Rats are gonna pay, we own the Broken Base!" Turtle's voice got higher "Its no fair!" 
"They will pay, but not today, we have to build up our force before we verse them again" Elli pointed out, Turtle nodded
"I know, it's still not cool" she huffed, sympathy shone in Elli's eyes. Seke wagged his tail and almost knocked Texta over, the girls both laughed. Elli kissed Seke on his furry head,
"That'a boy!" she giggled. The sun slowly rose into the sky.

Chapter 2

The Broken Base was quiet, there was no movement, no sound, not even the birds were chirping, Tom opened his eyes and yawned cheerfully, he looked out one of the broken windows next to where he was sleeping, no sign of the ice-hearts, he could actually get a sleep in for once, he realized he'd thought that to soon, for footsteps hammered up the stairs outside his room, a moment later the door barely on it's hinges, creaked open, Fox appeared, his large brown hawk swooped playfully at Phil, who squeaked and swatted the bird. Fox smiled, it was the first time he had smiled properly in moons, Tom returned the smile, both boys jumped as a sudden screaming came from downstairs 
"We won! We won! We won!" Amira and Kaylee let themselves into his room, they both looked high as a kite. Tom suddenly realized his room was becoming cramped, as Aster entered the room, her cat perched on her shoulder. Kaylee's bulldog Demmy, was shuffling about the room on his stubby legs, his face was in a giant doggy grin. Tom looked around the room, but couldn't see Spike anywhere, he looked at Fox, who looked away,
 "Fox, where's Spike?" he asked the medic boy, Fox sighed 
"Spike... Spike's not here." he said quietly, this confused Tom
 "Where is he then?" Fox answered hesitantly "We... don't know, we couldn't find him after the battle." the whole room fell silent, Amira whispered 
"May the Rat's spirit be with him, where ever he may be." Tom bowed his head with her.

Fern sat wearily in an alleyway, she looked for a person to ask where she was, but couldn't find anyone, her little blackbird balanced on her finger, chirped to comfort her, she rested her head in the other hand, she hated her life, her family, her friends, her school. She had run away because of this, and was now lost, and running out of food. She cursed silently "Oh why did I do this?" she asked herself.
