Kora has sort of become my godsona, she's helped me through a lot, I don't think the title of fursona is even worthy of her.
I only called her that because i had no better word for what she is.
Kora was formed from one part nightmare and one part muse. she showed me that even bullying and bad dreams are useful. I gave her the role of central character in a story, that's when i gave her a name and now she is sort of a guide for me, even if i don't like it when she refuses to listen to what i have to say.
She has a power of light, she helps me see that i'm better than what i used to think i was.

I have countless visions of different animals each one with different markings. How will I know my Godsona? I'm afraid that I might mistake something else for my Godsona (or, horror of horrors, the other way around).
Is it possible for a Godsona to take offense? Like if I do something to anger it (like mistake it for just another character and dismiss it), will it not appear to me?
What do you mean by "false God"?

I'm going through a strange faze recently. I keep feeling like there's something right behind me, and I'm constantly afraid to keep my back turned (which is pretty useless unless I want to stand there spinning). Whats more frustrating is it only happens to me at night, usually in the dark or when I'm alone. I love the dark and I'm usually not worried in the least about being alone, it's totally ruining it for me. I hope that if my Godsona appears he (I have a feeling it is a he) will make my feel more secure and chase my fears away OR give me a slap and say "Snap out of it!"lol I keep wanting to do that. because I feel like a loonatick racing across the front yard with my heart pounding just to bring in my brothers coat.

(Sorry for taking so long. D:)
False god is just someone making up a random character and calling it a godsona because they thought it was cool. x3
I don't think they'd take offense, but in the end your Godsona has a distinct personality. If it is in their personality to be offended by something like that, then they will be. I do not think they would purposely withhold themselves from you, however.
It will come when it comes, and I'm sure you'll know it's your Godsona when you see it. c:

Chiambisu is an artist here on CS, she drew the caterpillar in my signature for me.

If I ever see this animal clearly, is it possible that it could be my godsona??? If it is, I think its job is to help me get over my nightmares. For now, I will call him/her DreamCatcher, as he/she ends my nightmares.

Nightmares are generally negative things that don't help you in the least, I do not think your Godsona would want to scare you witless. xD But yes, it could help you to get over them. c:

I'm so very glad I found this.

A Godsona probably isn't quite what my brain was set upon; you know that persuasion of family that urges you along with them and what /they/ believe in. Every Sunday we sing and the like, but to be honest, it does nothing for me after my feet leave the old building. The only haven I can find, the only motivation to have hope, is to see the redness of my hurt skin and that I know it will go away eventually like the blackness of heart. But that takes science; and I don't have science to lean on when depression is tearing bits of me apart. And pills or medication don't feel quite right with me, to take to easily rid of the black hole. Pft, indeed, that's too easy.

But this...this glimmer of hope I have found. It will help. I am sure it will help. It /will/ help; oh please it will it will. It has tugged some of you all along; those panic attacks that so rattle one's body; I am not there yet. Hopefully a Godsona, or anything similar, can help me stray from that path. I just hope they are a better guide that a set destiny. But you say they have powers, correct? Your to reposition the stars and change those set destinies?

Yes. Hopefully mine will easily curve. Maybe I don't need help? Maybe I do.

But I'm still so very glad I found this. Thank you.
It's simply wonderful.

Question: You said they could be anything, but they are a god or godlike? For example, they could be a flower? An orchid to be specific?

Re: The Philosophy of a Godsona.

I discovered my Godsonas, Akurou and Raku, a while ago, but they've been secretive. I only now discovered their power and personalities when they appeared in a dream, because the dream started as a nightmare, but they saved me. I wanted to post their powers and personalities, just as a record, and because I wanted to share.

Akurou--
His power is to control darkness. This is because I'm afraid of the dark, and Akurou can control it and chase it away. He's very mischievous, and gets angry easily (But that's why I love him). He is also very funny, but often annoys Raku.

Raku--
Her power is to heal my mental wounds. She calms me down when I'm angry, and thinks of a bright side to everything.
She is very serious, but motherly. She often disapproves of Akurou's mischief, but not all the time. She has a sensible sense of humour.

They are complete opposites, but are always very helpful. They are sort of like Yin and Yan-- Opposites, but they cannot survive without the other, they create balance.

Godsonas are so helpful, and so is this thread!

Ok, I have a question you might've already answered, but I'm sort of confused.

As you said before, all Godsona's have their own personality traits. I discovered mine about a month or two ago during an extremely slick patch in my life. It was very ugly. At the hardest point of that, I closed my eyes and said that I gave up. When I eventually fell asleep, I met my Godsona for the first time. I'm not going to bore you with details, but he probably saved my sanity.

Anywho, I made him mad a few days ago, and his nightly visits ceased. So last night, I prayed he'd appeared. He did, but he scared me witless. I woke up screaming, it was so horrid.

To the question. Can a Godsona be a jokester? Because I'm scared he might just never come back.

Re: The Philosophy of a Godsona.

I believe I have found my Godsona.
Or, am in the process of finding him.
I was intending to make a fursona a few weeks ago when he first came to me. It was almost annoying, he wouldn't get out of my head as I was trying to think. It was quickly established that he was not my fursona, nor did he like the title. He didn't talk to me at first, but when I asked him his name I got 'Dominicus'. I once asked him why he appeared as a spider, and he told me that 'that's just the way he is', but I haven't gotten anything else out of him since. He's either quiet or ignoring me.

Even if he doesn't talk, I am comforted by him. He helps me with my more basic fears like Trypophobia or my repetitive issues. I feel that he is set to help me, but in more subtle ways. It's strange; he makes me feels like I can take on anything by myself. I need that...

The only reason I find it fit to call him a Godsona, though I know he dislikes any title besides his own name, is because he is nothing else. He is not a Dæmon, I'm sure of that.

    Thank you.
