12:15. I put on an old jacket and sneakers as I paced through my room. Time to go. I crept over to my window and opened it, looking around me. Everything was in place. I'd shoved pillows under my sheets to make it look like I was sleeping, in case the guards checked my room. I slipped through the window and onto the tree branch in front of it, closing the window after me. Creeping down to the branch below, I tapped softly at Ben's window. We were to arrive in pairs to ensure that no one was lost. Ben opened his window and crawled onto the branch, shutting his window. "Ready?" he asked, and I nodded. We dropped down to the ground and knelt there, looking around for guards before we ran out to the meadow. We ducked in the tall grass, and watched as a guard passed by, twenty meters away. When he was gone, we ran through the meadow to the tunnel. Nobody was there yet. We waited for five minutes, and no one had shown up yet. I was starting to worry now. Just then, a blonde ponytail appeared, and Anna and Ryan arrived with Kristen and Joey. "Where's Nick and Morgan?" I asked. "I don't know, we didn't see them," answered Ryan. Nick and Morgan showed up a few minutes later, and we prepared to go through the tunnel. Ben was to go first, followed by me, Nick, Morgan, Joey, Kristen, Anna, and Ryan. Ben slid down the tunnel, and crouched at the bottom. "It gets tall enough to stand at the bottom," he called up. I skidded down the tunnel after him, and Ben caught me before I could do a face-plant. I blushed and pretended and worry about my hair. Once everyone was down in the tunnel, we started to walk. Everyone was silent, and the flashlight beams danced across the walls. It was chilly and damp underground as we proceeded forward.

Where does the tunnel lead? Why where they taken to this school in the first place? Why are there watch-towers and guards with guns!? NEED MOAR!!! D8

Most of that will be answered over time. ^^

We must have walked for fifteen minutes when I saw a light at the end of the tunnel. We sped up our walking, and, on several occasions I kept bumping into Ben and the people around me. We stepped out of the tunnel and into the night again. We were still on the island, but in a special part of it. We ended up in a large cave by the far edge of the island. Nobody could go down here because there were cliffs all around this beach. There were no guards here. We were safe for now. I sat on a large rock and surveyed our surroundings.
