Chapter2
The Art Show
The cab soon drives up to the side walk. It the standered yellow cab with black letters saying VANCOUVER CAB'S on the side. I jump in the back and hear the man say, "Where to". I smell his breath. I mix of smoke and beer lingers on his words. He looks at me in the rear view mirror and I shiver. his eyes are the bluest I've ever seen and there quite frighting. "Sli-i-iders art-t-t g-g-gallery-y-y" I stutter and her drives off. I look out the window ant my reflection and see my own green eyes that my mom says reminds her so mush of the forest staring back at me.
Five minutes later the cab pulls to a stop and I get out thanking the driver and handing him the twenty doller bill. I rush inside and see my mom. she standing beside to people wearing hats over there eyes. The two are Male and Female and I walk over to my mother. She see's me and smiles "This is Emma!" she says and the two smile the taller woman smiles and says "I am Maia Thorbout and this is my son Richard" she talks in a deep french accent and Richard nods "Nice to meet you" He say quickly as my mom gives me a small push and says "how bout you talk to Richard. Me and Maia need to talk".
I smiled at Richard and walked outside onto the balcony. The cool breeze ruffled my hair as Richard followed behind me. He took off his hat and I turned around as he bowed deeply to me. His hair was a forsety green and her eyes a dark brown. He came up from his bown and I saw how pale his skin was. He smiled and said in a whisper, "Emma Woodhawk you are chosen." I gave him a look that said "What the hell are you talking about" and he smiled again and pulled his odd colored hair awway from his ears. I saw they where pointy and gasped "You are one of us" he said and grabbed my hand jumping into the busy street below.
