The moon rose mid-way through the sky as the gentle breeze dove through the forest, the stars dancing above as he took a moment to gaze at them. They were beautiful, to say it simply. Now that the sun had gone from the sky, the moon had long taken it's place among the shining sparks in the sky, something Florias could easily stop and admire. OceanClan had been through some tough times the past few moons and had recently welcomed him with open arms, glad to have more sets of paws to help around with the clan and the fighting. Now, he stood in the middle of a moonlit clearing within the sandy forest, awaiting to see the infamous Ashen Trails cats.
They've spilled blood between certain clan cats, causing an all out war between the two groups. Florias was here to keep the peace but he knew exactly which side he'd be on- OceanClan deserves his help and he owes them for giving him the shelter he desperately needed. A row of his clanmates stood together, wearing their very own masks, each made by their wearer.
Sooner rather than later, the undergrowth ahead opened up to welcome several different Ashen Trails cats. None were familiar to Florias but all were menacing in appearance all the same. Florias didn't turn his head to speak to Rusteddawn, afraid to take his eyes off the opposing cats, "That's all?" He whispered, confused to why several different cats posed a threat to them. Rusteddawn didn't turn his head towards Florias either, "Just because there are few of them, doesn't mean they aren't able to leave a long scratch across your eyes. Now hush, the dance is just about to begin."
Six cats were silently chosen to line up in front of the each other, this dance is supposed to represent peace, so they said. Florias found himself in front of a brown spotted cat who looked extremely out of place to his fellow Ashen Trails cats. Nonetheless, Tansy allowed the dance to commence. Florias gracefully drifted towards the clumsy cat, all else in the world forgotten as Florias allowed himself to be in his own world, not letting the tension disturb his quiet yet elegant rhythm. The other cat seemed to notice and tried his best to somewhat mimic Florias' grace but stumbled and tripped, nearly falling on his face before the mysterious silver cat had caught him.
The other cat blushed from his grasp, "H-hi." Florias blinked slowly at him, who was this cat? "The name's-" A shrill yowl echoed throughout the clearing, forcing both cats to bristle and stand straight, looking for it's source. Cats began leaping at each other and Florias took a short look at the tom, "Well? Who will you be defending?" The words poured out of his mouth like unintentional venom. To Florias' surprise, the tom stood tall beside him with a confident smile and unsheathed claws, "Ready when you are, prancer."
