I've always had this idea for a short story about a guy who lives alone in his apartment, but it's told from the viewpoint of different inanimate objects that he interacts with daily, such as a spoon or a pillow. Through each of the objects' narratives you can build a picture of the guy's life. The story would be meant to highlight the hopes, dreams, and struggles of a lonely person.

Seemingly being stalked by a stranger until you realize that it's yourself time-traveling from the past to see what your future self would be doing.
