where is the borderline
between self care and laziness
how do i decide if its
"i cant be bothered" or "i just cant deal with this"

because i want to sleep it off!
i want the problems gone!
but i dont know when its okay or not!

where is the borderline
WHERE IS THE BORDERLINE?

what if i come off as aggressive and cold
what if my company's getting old?
what if they wont catch me when i fall?
what if i've got no friends at all...?

i want people to know they hurt me
but we cant have them feeling bad, can we?
so i'll lock it up inside where the flowers are wilting
and you wont have to feel guilty

she stays up til the suns almost rising
she wont eat breakfast in the morning
there's too much else on her mind to think about that, now isnt there?

she has so much she has to do
but what does she do with her time?
sleep the day away until its gone
every single time

and she's full of dread
until she goes back to bed
to put to sleep
all the monsters in her head

this kid's messed up!
she's messed up her sleep!
she hardly eats!
she cant focus!
she cant read!

a big mess is what she is
and there's nothing she can do about this
no matter how hard she tries
and no matter how much she cries
nothing changes
it all stays the same

i dont feel good
but i guess thats normal
and i know thats not good
but everything inside me is torn to shreds

i want to feel better

i hate being stuck in bed
it fills me with so much dread
because there's so much i wanted to do
but now those plans are all in my head

yet it feels comforting
i want to stay here
cause with just me, my blankets and pillows
there's nothing to fear
i feel so at home
sitting in my bed alone
even if it means nothing gets done

but i want to get things done
staying in here is no fun
no matter how soft it makes me feel
my problems are still real

all the trouble and the pain
i want to sleep it away
until its over
until its gone

no matter how much each side says,
nothing happens
because here i stay
in my bed
because i cant tell the difference between laziness and taking care of myself

i guess my problems aren't always simple, but this one kinda is

it really shouldn't be a big deal, but now it is, isn't it?


its been long enough, guess i should get to what im talking about
right?

i want someone to hold me close
to them

i want to be loved
but i guess im afraid to get closer
than i already am

its easy to tell that nothings fine
when things that usually make you happy
are now making you cry

im sick and tired, all i wanna do is sleep
and i wish it was as easy as just telling the problems to leave

christmas doesnt exist
its a fairytale made to confuse us
christmas doesnt exist
its just something to stop the kids from making a fuss

nothings going my way
i cant to anything right
there's things i dont know how to say
i wont be sleeping tonight

but i-
i dont want it to be like this
not anymore

i'll do it tomorrow
i'll make things worth it tomorrow
i didn't do enough today
so it'll be better tomorrow
i'll do better tomorrow

yesterday's in the past
i wish i could just remember that
maybe i will tomorrow
im repeating the words over and over
just to get it into my head
"i'll do better tomorrow"

i used to do a good job
i used to be able to handle it just fine
but now that time is gone
i wish it wasnt
but now its a new time
and i have to look to the future

its hard to hold onto this mindset
especially when my mind is dead
i cant think straight
im a child
my mind isnt tame
its wild
