-- What's the difference between a witch, a mage, a magician, and a warlock?
- Magician is a general term for anyone who uses magic
- Mage is the term for someone who has a direct connection to magical energy and uses magic directly and actively
- A warlock is a highly advanced mage with incredible talents in magic
- A witch doesn't need to have a magical connection in order to practice magic. Whereas the mage's ability comes from active direct use of magic, witches can use naturally occurring things as a source of power to create potions, poisons, and spells, so a witch uses magic a lot more passively and indirectly.
-- Mages and witches are not mutually exclusive terms. One can be classified as both a witch and a mage.

I don't know if you already went over this or not but I have one question. What is the source of magic and such? Did it mysteriously appear and a few people were able to harness it and become more powerful while others went different routes and learned how to make/use potions or was it something else?
