"I am a force of nature.""What is my name?"
I named Vatari after the word for magic in my favorite book series right now, Shades of Magic
Gender: Male, though being a 'cet of magic and mist, what does gender matter to him?

Like all magic, I was never born. I was created, pulled from the source of all magic. I wasn't a viscet, I was nothing, only a force, a power. But I changed. It happened suddenly, my power obtained a will, and so I became a viscet, something physical, something real.
The magic swirled, a column of red sparks and smoke colliding, forming. Fur became present, viens of magic streaking throughout, visible on the creatures reddish fur. He landed, paws brushing up red fog and dust from the source, the eerie thing was the eyes, always the eyes. He opened just one, its interity white, a glowing, nearly painful white. His paws hit the ground, not in a painful way, but as if he just floated down, flawlessly. That second haunting eye opened, the light from the glow illuminating his cheeks, the red-black markings pulsing under his fur, under his skin. The wicked, white canines of his large jaw showed, twisting and conflicting into a sneer, a smirk.
"I am Vitari. I am the Magic."
The red viscet steeped forward, ready to burst into the real, out of the hazy fogs of all time itself. The red fogs of magic parted, and Vatari stepped through the veil.
This art is so blurry, it looks better in real life : (

A shudder moved through Vatari's body, a essence draining straight out of him. He nearly stumbled, but caught himself before he plunged headfirst into the cobble stones. Vatari looked at the word with innocent, wide eyes. A thin sheet of rain dosed the city of Seven Stars, but the 'cets hustling through the streets didn't seem to notice, or care. He rose to his feet, shivering as the world had never felt so cold before, in the heart of magic, nothing was cold, or warm, or hot, it was nothing. The fridged rain of Seven Stars chilled Vatari to the bone, but still none noticed the red 'cet prowling through the streets, eyes a glow, pelt shifting with power, body shivering with ice. He stumbled into a market, viscets shouting in a tongue he had never heard but could still understand, thrusting their colorful wares into the sky, trying to haggle or keep their wares away from the wary pickpocket. To escape the rain, and craziness he had never seen before, Vatari ducked into an alleyway. He was not alone. A viscet stood there, silhouetted by the faint lantern light of the street. All Vatari saw was the flash of a sword, and then nothing, just the ebbing waves of darkness.

Vitari dreamed of being a real Viscet. In this dream he chased a little sister and brother around a small but cozy house, the smell of something Vatari had never smelled before wafting from a small kitchen where his mom and dad sat, both laughing and talking while preparing dinner. As Vatari looked to himself in this dream he noticed his eyes were not glowing or white, instead a simple shade of warm brown. His pelt was not pulsating with the magic and the essence of what he truly was, but lay still and flat, just a red striped pelt against his darker red body. In this dream he was happy, and he had what he wanted, a family. He reached out to his siblings for them to not be there, his hug falling to empty space, actually his whole body falling, all his dreamscape falling away to to a black hole of emptiness, that swallowed him. He woke up. Vatari was on the floor. A floor, wooden and rickety, what you'd see in somewhere abandoned, dust motes floating past his head, too close to his muzzle for him not to sneeze. Vatari tried to sit up, to left his paws and cover that sneeze before it shook him, but he couldn't, his paws were frozen in place, and thats when he noticed the tight iron that ran across them. It was crude iron, wrapped around his paws in tight circles, chains trailing off them into who knows where, they may have been old, but their grip was tight, burning Vatari's wrists. The sword flashed in the darkness of the room, a dark viscet stepping forward.
"What are you? You carry no gold. Your eyes glow like the snows of Jade Mountain. What beast are you?"
The viscet stepped forward, a creamy charcoal pelt draped over a too skinny frame. Their stormy blue eyes were filled with fear, a haunted look it their eyes. Vatari never saw the dagger coming.
Red mist billowed out of Vatari's throat, not the mark of a 'cet of blood and bone, but of pure magic. The would be assassin stumbled back, the fearful look growing.
"Wa-what are you? You should be dead!" Vatari's eyes widened, his grip growing tighter on the chains, as they froze and snapped. Vatari stood up, ignoring the shackles still dangling from his paws. He blew out a black mist, the assassin crumbling to the floor, unconscious. Vatari walked out.

Vatari strode through the marketplace, ignoring all the stares he got. "Who's that viscet?" The citizens whispered, "Who's that viscet who's eyes look blind, but show a glimmer of sight? Who is chained but they do not drag him down? Whos pelt ripples like a scarlet river? Who is he?" Vatari passed a guard viscet, her fur a swirled green, but instead of staring at or ignoring him, she ushered him to the side, staring at the cut on his throat, still releasing fog into the crisp morning air.
"Here." She pressed ten gold coins into his palm."
"Go buy yourself something."
She slowly walked away as Vatari inspected the forgein objects in his palms. As he walked thrtiugh the stalls, something caught his eye, a large charcoal bandana.
"In fashion this season! It would help you with whatever's happening there too." The merchect gustered at his neck. He strode up.
"How much?"
"Seven coin." Even as Vatari dropped seven gold coins into the merchants paws the man looked surprised.
"I ment coppers, not golds." The merchant gasped, confused as this seemingly rich, odd viscet walked away, very interesting.
Vatari decided to spend the rest of his coin on some sort of long yellow fruit, which the merchant claimed to be "exotic". Include: Banana (Nope, Bandanna!)
